One could notice that an atmosphere of gaiety permeated in the campus. The inaugural ceremony began with a warm welcome to the new students and their parents as the fresh graduates embark on a journey with dreams in their eyes and aspirations in their hearts.

Jossy showed an inspirational PPT which began with glorification of
some high achievers of CIM, Lavasa in the corporate world. Fr Jossy asked new students the reason for selecting CIM and they
unanimously responded that they did so because of the brand name!
Director, Dr Fr Jossy articulated that a brand name comes from the
students and the new batch must work hard to leave a legacy for others
to follow.
Dr Fr Jossy drew an analogy with life of an Eagle in his presentation.
He motivated the students and said that they have an inherent power of
soaring high in life but they must face challenges in life with dignity.
The activities, assignments, back to back classes will churn out the
real Christies. Dr Fr Jossy encouraged them and said that they should be
read to go through the arduous task of focusing on working hard to
achieve their desired goal. A radical change is imperative and they must
follow proactive practices and turn out as transformed professionals.
CIM orientation programme was conducted by Fr Arun Antony, Academic Co-ordinator and Dr Binu P Paul, Head of Academics.
Coordinator,
Fr Arun Antony further motivated the new entrants and briefed them
about the serene distractionless environment at CIM which is conducive
for learning. He felt elated to say that CIM offers a nurturing ground
for an individual's holistic development to make an effective
contribution to the society in a dynamic environment. Fr Arun gave an
account of CMI which has significantly contributed to education. He
spoke eloquently about the vision of Excellence and Service with special
reference to the Core Values.
Then Dr Binu P Paul gave an insight into the academic aspects of education and expectations from the students. He reiterated the fact that education is not a destination rather it is a continuous process. Dr Binu urged the students to learn and absorb the skills required as a professional. They ought to have a sense of commitment primarily for shaping themselves into confident deliverables. He reinforced the protocol to be followed rigidly regarding academics and attendance. Then they will turn out to be true ambassadors of Brand Christ.
The guests were pleased to watch a fun filled PPT depicting life at CIM, Lavasa, aptly entitled 'Happy Christites'. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Ms Arpita Ghosh, Concluding Hymn by CIM choir followed by CIM Anthem. Then everyone proceeded for tea.
