40 students from Department of Commerce, Christ College, Bengaluru visited Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa from 28th November to 1st December 2018 to attend a training program.

It was conducted by Mr Harjeet Singh, Managing Director & CEO, EduEdgePro Pvt Ltd, Deputy CEO & Head- Algorithmic Trading, AmarGlobal Investment Advisors, Consultant - Dept of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Govt of India, MS (Financial Mathematics) - Stanford University, MBA, CFA, FRM, PRM, CAIA, CMT.

The concept is the brain child of Dr Amarjeet Singh, Ph.D., MBA, CAIA(USA), MCSI(UK),CMT(USA) is Adjunct Professor at S.P.Jain School of Global Management, Singapore & Dubai; XLRI Jamshedpur; Investment Consultant. He is the Founder & CEO of AmarGlobal Investment advisors.

On 29th November the students went to MCX, Multi Commodity Exchange, Mumbai and attended a training session at CIM on 30th November and 1st December 2018. It was one of its kind program initiated by Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa in collaboration with EduEdgePro, Mumbai.

The certification program was an introduction to algorithmic trading. It catered to skill enhancement of the students and thereby making them be prepared for the industry. It was a practical take on application of capital markets training  in terms of things they need to know from the perspective of an industry. It dealt with applied financial modeling aspects as well as gave an integrated approach towards looking at capital markets.

A lot of concepts specially related to algorithmic training were covered in this program. Plenty of application building aspects were also covered in the financial modeling aspect of the program. The program intended to give an overview of what an industry needs while building flexible, dynamic models.

This joint venture will positively help the students in their path. The students were appreciative of the hospitality received by Director, Fr Jossy at Lavasa. They toured the beautiful city and found the atmosphere suitable for learning.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
