WORKSHOP ON UGC NET/SET CAREERS IN TEACHING/RESEARCH/JRF

A workshop on Careers in Teaching/Research/JRF UGC NET/SET was organized by the School of Business and Management (MBA) on 18th December 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. 


A total of 31 Masters' level students participated in the event including students from all MBA specialisations. The resource speaker was Prof Stanny Dias. The workshop was divided into 3 components where the speaker first spoke about careers in teaching and research. Details on a research fellowship and stipend were shared with the students if they opt for a full-time PhD.


The next component was about what is UGC NET and its details in terms of eligibility, exam pattern. A clear understanding between the UGC NET asst professor and JRF was made known to the students. Tips regarding clearing competitive exams were shared including preparation for Paper I and Paper-II. The third component was Questions and answers and there were multiple queries from both marketing and economics students regarding various aspects.


The event concluded with questions, answers, and career counseling for a few students. The event was deemed a success in general. The majority of students said that they enjoyed the event and were pleased with the information they got on the subject. The event went off without a hitch and without any interruptions. Everyone appeared to be having a good time. They also expressed an interest in seeing more workshops like this in the future.
