Financial Modeling and Trading



A Five-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Financial Modeling and Trading was organized by the School of Commerce, Finance, and Accountancy from July 3rd to July 7th, 2023. The program aimed to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and practical insights into various aspects of financial modeling and trading. The FDP commenced on July 3rd with a session conducted by Mr. Mayur Deshmukh, an expert in financial modeling. Mr. Deshmukh shared his extensive experience and expertise in financial modeling techniques, including valuation models, forecasting methodologies, and risk analysis. Participants gained valuable insights into the application of financial modeling in real- world scenarios and learned essential skills to analyze financial data effectively.

On July 4th, Mr. Mayur Deshmukh continued his session, delving deeper into advanced financial modeling concepts. He focused on topics such as scenario analysis and optimization techniques. Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of these techniques and their applications in decision-making and risk management.

Dr. Abhijeet Birari, an expert in algorithmic trading, took over on July 5th. Dr. Birari shared his expertise in designing and implementing automated trading strategies. He discussed various algorithmic trading models, market analysis techniques, and risk management strategies. Participants learned how to leverage technology and quantitative methods to develop profitable trading systems.

Dr. Ujwala Bairagi, an expert in trading, conducted the session on July 6th. She shared her practical knowledge and insights on trading strategies, market dynamics, and technical analysis. Participants gained a deeper understanding of chart patterns, trend analysis, and indicators to make informed trading decisions. Dr. Bairagi also emphasized the importance of risk management and disciplined trading practices.

The FDP concluded on July 7th with another session conducted by Dr. Abhijeet Birari.
