 SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL EVENT

Introduction: On February 17th, 2024, minds ignited and ideas clashed at the & quot; Quiz for CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus - ‘The Hub of Analytics’ Sustainable Futures,& quot; an electrifying event hosted by SDG cell in pursuit of the UN's inspiring Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This wasn't just a test of knowledge; it was a vibrant platform for dialogue, collaboration, and a collective vision for a better tomorrow. Dive into the report to revisit the captivating questions, insightful discussions, and the unwavering commitment to action that emerged from this impactful engagement.

Participants in the SDG Quiz Competition come from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, including but not limited to engineering, environmental science, social sciences, business, and technology. They are tasked with developing projects, initiatives, or innovative ideas that contribute to advancing one or more of the SDGs. This could involve anything from developing sustainable technologies, promoting social entrepreneurship, advocating for policy changes, to implementing community-based projects aimed at improving education, healthcare, or environmental sustainability.

The competition not only fosters innovation and creativity but also promotes awareness and understanding of the SDGs among participants and the broader community. By encouraging collaboration and interdisciplinary approaches, the SDG Quiz Competition reflects the interconnected nature of the sustainable development agenda and emphasizes the importance of collective action in achieving meaningful progress towards the SDGs.

Session Details: Transpiring on February 17th, 2024, the & quot; Quiz for Sustainable Futures & quot; hosted by SDG Cell (MBA Unit, School of Business and Management) went beyond mere competition, fostering synergy through collective learning and collaborative action. Six teams initially battled through preliminary rounds, showcasing their grasp of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs). The top contenders then engaged in a captivating final round, but the true victory lay in the insightful discussions and shared knowledge sparking a collective commitment to action. This electrifying event served as a potent testament to the power of engagement in shaping a sustainable future, where diverse minds unite to find innovative solutions for the greater good. The questions were asked from each sustainable development goal of the United Nations. The audiences were also occasionally asked questions for an interactive session. Some faculty members also answered from the audiences making the session more engaging.

 
 
  
Conclusion:  The "Quiz for Sustainable Futures" resonated deeply on February 17th, 2024, not just as a competition, but as a vibrant platform for collaborative learning and action. Six teams initially battled through preliminary rounds, demonstrating their understanding of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). While the final round showcased intellectual prowess, the true triumph lay in the insightful discussions and shared knowledge that ignited a collective commitment to action. This engaging event served as a testament to the power of collaboration in shaping a sustainable future, where diverse perspectives unite to find innovative solutions for the greater good. The event created an awareness about the SDGs amongst the students and also put forth the stance of Christ University in pursuing the cause of sustainable development.   Building upon this success, future events will continue to foster dialogue, engagement, and action towards achieving the SDGs for a more just and equitable world

OUTCOMES OF THE EVENT

Outcome 1 –

One of the most significant outcomes of the "Quiz for Sustainable Futures" was the sparking of a collective commitment to action surrounding the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). While the intellectual competition and knowledge showcased by the participating teams were commendable, the true success lay in the collaborative spirit and shared enthusiasm for tackling global challenges that emerged throughout the event.

Suggestions for the event-

Some of the responses were:

  •          Consider incorporating activities or challenges that involve all participants, not just the finalists. This could include breakout sessions, group discussions, or interactive polls.
  •          Encourage audience participation during the final round through live voting or social media engagement
  •           Encourage debate and critical thinking on complex issues surrounding the SDGs.
  •         Invite guest speakers or experts to share their knowledge and experience
