MBA Launch Pad 2024 – The Orientation Program


The MBA Launch Pad 2024 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, was held from July 22 to July 30, 2024. This eight-day orientation program was meticulously designed to acclimate new MBA students to the rigorous academic environment, introduce them to key faculty members, and provide a comprehensive overview of the resources and opportunities available at the university. The event, held in the Auditorium of the Central Block, served as an essential starting point for students embarking on their MBA journey.

The orientation program was spread over eight days, with a structured agenda focusing on various aspects crucial to a successful MBA experience. Each day was filled with a combination of interactive sessions, informative presentations, and networking opportunities.

Day 1 (July 22, 2024): The inauguration ceremony marked the official start of the MBA Launch Pad 2024. This was followed by institutional and departmental orientation sessions, providing students with an overview of the university's mission, vision, and core values. The day concluded with an ice-breaking session to help students get acquainted with their peers.

Day 2 (July 23, 2024): The second day introduced students to case study learning and the case class format, which are integral parts of the MBA curriculum. Sessions on personality analysis and learning styles were also conducted to help students understand their individual strengths and preferences.

Day 3 (July 24, 2024): The focus shifted to academic preparation with bridge courses in accountancy, business statistics, and business communication. These sessions were aimed at refreshing the students' knowledge and ensuring a strong foundation for the courses ahead.

Day 4 (July 25, 2024): The day continued with bridge courses, including analytics with Excel and economics, ensuring that all students, regardless of their academic background, were well-prepared for the rigors of the MBA program.

Day 5 (July 26, 2024): The academic preparation concluded with additional sessions on academic standards and holistic education, emphasizing the importance of ethics, discipline, and overall well-being in professional development.

Day 6 (July 27, 2024): The highlight of the day was a session by Joy Jose, CHRO of CDK Global, who provided invaluable insights into the corporate world and the skills required to excel in it. The day also included orientations on CAPS and placements.

Day 7 (July 29, 2024): This day was focused on introducing students to various clubs, committees, and extracurricular activities that play a vital role in the holistic development of an MBA student. A talent hunt was also organized, showcasing the diverse skills of the students.

Day 8 (July 30, 2024): The final day featured a series of sessions aimed at reinforcing the key learnings from the previous days. The program concluded with a valedictory ceremony, marking the end of the orientation and the beginning of the academic journey.
