Quality Improvement Program (QIP) - Strategic Excellence
The QIP brought together faculty members, administrative staff, and key stakeholders in a series of sessions that delved deep into strategic planning, policy formulation, and team-building exercises. Objectives of the QIP

Demystifying the Strategic Action Plan (SAP) for A.Y. 2024-25: The QIP aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the SAP, ensuring that all faculty members and staff were well-versed in the strategic goals and priorities set for the upcoming academic year. This included an in-depth discussion on the key thrust areas that would drive the department’s activities and initiatives.
3. Developing and Implementing Specific Policies: A significant portion of the program was dedicated to the formulation and refinement of policies that are critical to the department’s functioning. These included policies related to the identification of learner’s needs, feedback mechanisms on curriculum delivery, use of electronic gadgets, training and placements, student rewards and recognition, and more.
4. Enhancing Faculty and Staff Skills: The program provided an opportunity for participants to enhance their skills and knowledge in various areas, including academic quality enhancement, administrative processes, and student support and progression. This was achieved through a series of interactive sessions and workshops led by experts within the department.

The Quality Improvement Program was structured over five days, with each day focusing on different aspects of strategic and operational enhancement. Below is a detailed overview of the sessions conducted during the QIP:
Day One - 27th May 2024:
The program commenced with an Inauguration Ceremony that set the tone for the entire week. This was followed by a session on the "SAP - Plan of Action for A.Y. 2024-25," led by Fr. Dr. Lijo Thomas, which provided participants with a clear understanding of the strategic priorities for the upcoming academic year.
Dr. Resham took the participants through the Key Thrust Areas for the department, emphasizing the strategic objectives that would guide the department’s activities.
Dr. Anil conducted a session on SAP Monitoring and Measurement, outlining the metrics and processes that would be used to track the progress of the strategic plan.
The day concluded with a session on Research & Consultancy, led by Dr. Danish and Dr. Shrutika, who discussed strategies to enhance research output and consultancy activities within the department.
Day Two - 28th May 2024:
The second day was dedicated to Academic Quality Enhancement, with sessions focusing on critical areas such as:
Assessment of Learning Needs by Dr. Mohit, which highlighted the importance of understanding the diverse learning needs of students and adapting teaching methodologies accordingly.
Student Mentoring by Dr. Anshul, focusing on effective mentoring practices to support student development.
Academic Delivery by Dr. Resham, which covered strategies to enhance the quality of academic delivery and ensure alignment with learning outcomes.
Evaluation Methodology by Dr. Danish, providing insights into effective assessment techniques that support student learning and academic integrity.
The latter part of the day addressed Administrative Processes, where Dr. Resham, Prof. Naived, Dr. Mohit, and Prof. Jerin covered topics including the role of IQAC, documentation for audits, and coordination with university offices.
Day Three - 29th May 2024:
The focus on administrative processes continued, with sessions on:
Key Thrust Areas in Administration, led by Dr. Resham, which emphasized the critical administrative functions that support the department’s strategic goals.
IQAC and its role in maintaining and enhancing quality standards within the department.
Documentation for Audit by Dr. Mohit, which provided guidelines for maintaining comprehensive and accurate records for audits.
Coordination with University Offices by Prof. Jerin, which stressed the importance of effective communication and collaboration with central university offices.
Day Four - 30th May 2024:
Student Support and Progression was the theme for the fourth day, with sessions focusing on:
Training & Placement Policies by Dr. Anil, which discussed strategies for enhancing placement outcomes and providing students with relevant training.
Code of Conduct and Discipline by Prof. Tanya, which outlined the expectations for student behavior and the mechanisms for enforcing discipline.
Student Leadership, Involvement & Appreciation by Dr. Danish, which encouraged the development of student leadership skills and recognized the contributions of student leaders.
Day Five - 31st May 2024:
The final day of the QIP was dedicated to Cocurricular and Extracurricular Initiatives, with sessions on:
Clubs and Associations by Prof. Tanya, which explored the role of student clubs and associations in enhancing student engagement and learning.
Events and Activities by Dr. Shrutika, which discussed the planning and execution of departmental events that contribute to a vibrant campus life.
The program concluded with a Valedictory Session, where key takeaways from the week were summarized, and the efforts of all participants were acknowledged.
The Quality Improvement Program on "Strategic Excellence" successfully achieved its objectives, providing faculty and staff with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to align with the department’s strategic goals.
