The Focus Photography Exhibition, held on 15 November 2025 at Christ (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa, stood as a vibrant celebration of creativity, visual storytelling, and artistic exploration. Organized by the university’s Photography Club in collaboration with the Centre for Digital Learning (CDL), the exhibition showcased the immense talent and diverse perspectives of the university community. With more than 150 entries from students and staff, the event became one of the largest and most engaging visual arts showcases held on campus in recent years. Author Appreciation Day Celebration (Creative Writing Workshop)

The Department of English and Cultural Studies hosted a Creative Writing workshop on 10th December 2025 from 11 AM to 1 PM. The session was hosted by Ms Sucharita Dutta-Asane, a Sahitya Akademi Award Nominee, the Managing Editor at Red River Story and an esteemed member of the Department’s Advisory Board. The workshop was held in honour of both the author Mulk Raj Anand as well as Gender Sensitivity Week and focused on Anand’s portrayal of women, gender identities and roles in his works. This thematic convergence allowed the workshop to explore creative writing not merely as an artistic act but also as a reflective and socially conscious practice. Anand’s literary contributions, especially his empathetic portrayal of women and marginalized identities, provided a meaningful foundation for the discussions and activities planned for the day. The Global Immersion Program to Sri Lanka, held from 15 to 21 November 2025, was a comprehensive academic and cultural initiative organised by the School of Business & Management (BBA) in collaboration with the Office of International Affairs. The program was designed exclusively for third-year BBA students and it formed as an integral component of the CIA 4 requirement under the fifth-semester course International Business (BBA305B-5L). While some students completed their experiential learning at the Bombay Port, twenty-three students opted for the Sri Lanka immersion, accompanied by two faculty members, Ms. Devleena Banerjee and Dr. Mitra Barna. This structured program was designed to enhance students’ confidence, refine their communication abilities, and strengthen their interview readiness through hands-on practice and expert feedback. The Book Review Competition 2025 was successfully conducted by The Readers’ Club , in association with the Library & Information Center and the School of Sciences . The competition aimed to encourage reading habits, promote analytical thinking, and provide a platform for students to express their perspectives on diverse books through structured and meaningful reviews. Pre-Event Activities To ensure maximum participation, the organizers began their promotional activities 15 days prior to the event. The event poster, registration link, and prize details were released well in advance. Members of The Readers’ Club actively spread awareness by pasting posters on common notice boards and classroom boards, and displaying digital posters on campus TV screens. Event information was also disseminated through WhatsApp groups, peer communication, and word-of-mouth promotion.
