Clay Modelling Workshop

The Centre for Academic and Professional Support (CAPS), Christ University Pune Lavasa, recently organised an enriching and immersive Clay Modelling Workshop. The session brought together more than 30 students from various wings, including Operations, Peer Training, Connect Wide, PR & Media, Content, QC, and Research, marking a unique blend of creativity, reflection, and leadership development. The workshop was facilitated by Dr Sangeeta Jawla, a respected scholar known for her expertise in folklore, gender studies, creative arts, and narratives of traditional potter communities. Her interdisciplinary approach created a meaningful connection between art, culture, and leadership. For many participants, clay modelling was a new and unexpectedly grounding experience. The Faculty Development Programme (FDP), held from 29th July to 2nd August 2025, brought together faculty members from diverse disciplines for a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. The programme commenced on Day 1 with a formal inauguration, setting the tone for an enriching week ahead. The first session, led by Dr. Sahil Gupta, introduced participants to NVIVO, a software tool for qualitative research analysis. Faculty members gained hands-on experience working with NVIVO datasets, learning coding techniques, theme identification, and data visualization. The programme began with an introduction to the fundamentals of cloud computing, emphasizing the growing global transition from traditional on-premise systems to cloud-based infrastructures. Participants gained clarity on key cloud service models—IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS—and deployment models such as public, private, and hybrid clouds.
