Ignite ’26: Induction and Orientation Development Programme
The Department of Commerce organized Ignite ’26 , a seven-day Induction and Orientation Development Programme (IODP), from 11 August to 18 August 2026 , to facilitate the smooth transition of newly admitted students into the university environment. The programme was designed to address the academic, administrative and personal challenges faced by students entering higher education from diverse educational backgrounds. It was aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions . The programme commenced with an inaugural session, “IGNITE ’26,” followed by interactive activities such as “Fresh Faces, Fun Spaces: Breaking the Ice.” These sessions enabled students to interact with their peers and begin their university journey in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
