GitHub Workshop

The Microsoft student ambassadors organise GitHub introduction and training sessions from the Department of Data Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa Campus for the students of various programs, including first and second-year bachelor students from the department of data science and economics, and first-year students of MSc data science and economics. The students conveyed the need for having a good GitHub profile, how to build and collaborate on repositories and the need and tips to maintain a git profile.


Session 1:  1 MSc EA [12.11.2022, 10:45 Am - 12:15 pm]

The session started with the introduction of GitHub, after which we explained the usage and benefits of having a GitHub account and profile. The primary focus was on the account creation of all the attendees and understanding the basic knowledge about GitHub. The basic knowledge of push and pull requests to upload any file and download files in their local machine using GitHub Desktop.

Session 2: 1 MSc DS - A [12.11.2022, 10:45 Am - 12:15 pm]

The session started with the introduction of GitHub, after which we explained the usage and benefits of having a GitHub account and profile. The primary focus was on the account creation of all the attendees and understanding the basic knowledge about GitHub. Session 3: 3 BSc DS & 3 BSc EA [14.11.2022, 11:00 Am - 12:30 pm]

The session started with the introduction of GitHub, after which we explained the usage and benefits of having a GitHub account and profile. The primary focus was on the account creation of all the attendees and understanding the basic knowledge about GitHub. The basic knowledge of push and pull requests to upload any file and download files in their local machine using GitHub Desktop.

Session 4: 1 MSc DS – B [18.11.2022, 10:40 Am - 12:15 pm]

The session started with the introduction of GitHub, after which we explained the usage and benefits of having a GitHub account and profile. The primary focus was on the account creation of all the attendees and understanding the basic knowledge about GitHub. The basic knowledge of push and pull requests to upload any file and download files in their local machine using GitHub Desktop.

Session 5: 1 BSc DS & 1 BSc EA [23.11.2022, 03:30 Pm - 04:45 Pm]

The session started with the introduction of GitHub, after which we explained the usage and benefits of having a GitHub account and profile. The primary focus was on the account creation of all the attendees and understanding the basic knowledge about GitHub. The basic knowledge of push and pull requests to upload any file and download files in their local machine using GitHub Desktop.

The sessions were insightful, and many students were able to get benefited from the GitHub student pack, where the students can get free perks to boost their productivity and skills. The students requested more advanced sessions on GitHub, where they need to be trained in working on collaborative projects or repositories.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTATION AND SECURITY - IDSCS’22

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. Dr Samiksha Shukla welcomed the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, Vice-Chancellor and the keynote speakers for the day and summarized forthcoming events of IDSCS'22.
