XLLENZ 22


School of Business and Management, (MBA) CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organized an intra-collegiate fest XLLENZ’22, conducted by CHRIST College Pune on

24th November 2022. This was the first mega event conducted by CHRIST College Pune for the students of the School of Business and Management, (MBA) Lavasa Campus. The event started at 9.00 and concluded on the same day at 5.00 pm with prize distribution.

The event started with the emcee’s introduction, followed by the invocation dance. The invocation dance is a form of prayer that depicts the glorification of the divine aimed to bring the experience of the divine realization to the performer and their audience. Prof. Stanny Dias, faculty coordinator for XLLENZ 22 welcomed the dignitaries and students officially. Followed by a welcome address, Dr. Becky M Thomas, HoD, MBA addressed the students and mentioned the importance of intra-collegiate collaborations. After the HoDs address, the event was officially declared open by Dr. Fr.Jossy P Geory, Dean and Director, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa. Fr. Jossy enthusiastically reiterated the inception of XLLENZ. He also mentioned the importance of staying relevant in the competitive world. The world is changing rapidly, and the best fit will survive in the game. We all should upgrade ourselves to remain relevant, he mentioned. After the Dean’s address, Dr. Maninder Kour, Assistant professor, CHRIST College Pune gave the students guidelines and concluded the official inauguration. The finance game was testing financial knowledge in the real world. First activity was to identify a picture and guess financial terms related to the particular picture.



The second activity was a quiz conducted on google forms. Third round- we were given a situation that our company is facing a financial crisis and how you will cope-up with that.Business analytics was designed to derive patterns from the given data set and help managers make decisions. The 1st round was Quiz, where each team was given 30 questions and 5 sec to answer each question. In the second round, each team was given a company that has failed. The teams had to make a presentation on why the company failed and a 1 min advertisement of the rebranding of the company. The 3rd round was a SWOT analysis where all four teams were given a company, and they had to prepare a SWOT analysis and cross-question each other's analysis. The best manager competition had four rounds. The rounds were innovative and tested the students’ capabilities and how they would react in that particular situation as managers. It enabled and forced the competitors to think out of the box. HR competition was filled with fun and learning. 

The first task was a case study. The second round was crisis solving and the final round was identifying the perfect employee. Marketing competition was a 4 round event where round 1 was about marketing for unique products. Round 2 was about creating a video advertisement for a product in different eras. Round 3 was about improving the image of various organizations that are facing a backlash in their business in hypothetical situations using marketing strategies. Round 4 was the deciding round about creating a website and social media pages for an outdated product of our choice. The best management team competition tested the student’s ability to solve a crisis as a team. All the rounds were designed to test the participant’s intellectual and creative ability.
