RESEARCH SCHOLARS MEET 2023
A research Scholars meeting was organized to ignite the flame of inspiration and motivation that lies within each and every research scholar. As researchers, they have embarked on a noble journey, a journey that pushes the boundaries of knowledge, uncovers the mysteries of the universe, and shapes the future of humanity. The work researchers do is not only intellectually stimulating but also holds immense potential to make a profound impact on society.
In the pursuit of knowledge, they are explorers, venturing into uncharted territories of ideas and concepts. Scholars are driven by a relentless curiosity, an insatiable thirst for understanding, and an unwavering determination to make a difference. They are the torchbearers of progress, pushing the frontiers of human understanding further with each new discovery.
This meeting was an opportunity to address those
who may be feeling demotivated, disheartened, or overwhelmed by the challenges
that research often presents. Research can be a challenging aspect for any PhD
scholar. Lots of hurdles, questions and time constraints can cause some delay
in the research work. The aim of this meeting was to create a space to discuss
the above and looking into the aspects which could be causing delay at times.
The meeting started with a silent prayer led by Dr
Preethi N. She then welcomed all. Dr. Preethi N led the session and walked the
scholars through basic and important documentation along with resolving their
doubts.
Various scholars had come from Pune as well as
some of them attended online as well. Following this the Director and Dean, of CHRIST Lavasa campus, Fr. Lijo Thomas addressed the research scholars in order
to motivate them and give them a positive push toward their field of
expertise. The director and Dean of CHRIST NCR campus, Fr Jossy P George too
shared his views and mentioned that we all are there to support the scholars on
every step.
Once the session was thrown open for
interaction, scholars put forth their doubts, looked into further procedures, and shared their experiences and thoughts. The research scholars had a few
doubts pertaining to the change in their guides, submission deadlines, and
further steps to proceed with. Some had doubts in terms of the required
documentation on the KP, presentation of papers, etc. as well. The session added
more clarity and motivation for the research scholars. The meeting cultivated a
feeling to let them know that they are not alone. Research is a demanding and
rigorous pursuit, and it is common for even the most accomplished scholars to
face periods of disillusionment. The scholars were reminded that setbacks and obstacles
are an integral part of the research journey. It is through these challenges
that one grows, learns, and ultimately emerges stronger.
The research scholars were encouraged to take a
step back and reflect on why they chose this path in the first place. What
inspired them to delve into the realm of research? What are the questions that
keep them awake at night? A flame to rediscover the passion that fueled their initial
curiosity, and let it guide you forward was lightened.
Overall the session was quite fruitful and
dynamic. The research guides too shared their expertise and helped the other
scholars. To conclude with, such a meeting will definitely help all to stay
connected and be motivated in continuing their research work. This will also
help the scholars to be able to meet deadlines and give productive results.
