Rush Hour
Rush Hour is an exciting event organized by the People Pioneer, HR Club, School of Business and Management (MBA). The event features two competitions: The Employee Drama, a roleplay contest, and the launch of The Corporate Shots, a Reel Making competition. The event was held on the campus grounds and saw a large turnout of students and faculty members.
The Employee Drama roleplay contest was the highlight of the event. It was an exhilarating experience that took the participants through common workplace scenarios where emotions run high and conflicts flare up. The roleplay contest challenged the student’s problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and teamwork. The contestants had to bring the scenarios to life and make tough decisions on handling the conflicts.
The Head of the Department (HOD), MBA Prof. Jobin Jacob attended the launch event; all the faculty members and students from MBA were present for the event. The event was hosted by Ms. Sheenu Shaji and Mr. Arunava Chatterjee, who entertained the audience.
Prof. Zidan judged the contestants. The marketing department emerged as the winner of the Employee Drama roleplay contest, while the Finance department was the runner-up.
The rules for the competition were straightforward. Each team had a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 members. The contestants had precisely 7 minutes to complete their performance. The judge will evaluate the teams based on catchy and attractive role-play, creativity, out-of-box thinking, costumes and props used, and accuracy and believability of role clarity.
The Employee Drama roleplay contest was an excellent platform for students to showcase their talent and bring out their acting skills. The contest provided an opportunity for students to work as a team and collaborate to achieve a common goal. It was not just about winning or losing but learning and growing from the experience.
After the Employee Drama roleplay contest, the event moved was handed over to Ms. Janet Joy who announced the launch of The Corporate Shots, a Reel Making competition, and the rules and regulations. The Corporate Shots is a competition where students are required to create reels based on corporate themes. The launch of the competition generated much interest among the students.
The Reel Making competition is an opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and storytelling skills. The competition aims to provide a platform for students to express their views on corporate themes and issues. A panel of judges will evaluate the competition, and the winners will be announced later.
