PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.

 
Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. This was followed by an introduction about the resource persons by Ms Pretty Rose Sebastian & Mr Shreeyash Goel, Students of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics). The Head of the Department, Dr Vandana Bhagat addressed the session and welcomed the Resource persons.


The Session Moderator Dr Jayant Mahajan started with setting the context about the Panel Discussion with his collective years of experience and expertise in the field, Then the First Resource Person Mr Rajiv Chelladurai discussed the Leading Self, Emotional Intelligence, Relationship Builder, Continuous learner and the Problem Solver. The students were asked questions got insights from Mr Rajiv.


The second resource person Mr Ajay Pillai discussed that People are resistant to change, Importance of training employees/people working under you. As an entrepreneur, you have to understand what your people are motivated by and how they’ll adapt to changes because, in the end, they are the ones who will drive the business. As an entrepreneur, you have to be focused and the most important factor is to go out and meet people to create a network.


The third resource person Mr Dhananjay Bhole discussed about People have many ideas but that ‘’Idea’’ should have a demand by the people. Even if not, you should have the skills to create that demand for your ‘’idea’’, Change is inevitable, what people will purchase from you is the solution. Hence every challenge should be converted into solutions.


All the faculty members of the Department participated in the Panel Discussion and Students were interactive by asking their queries and clarifications during the provided time. Dr Mahesh Kumar T, Organizer of the Panel Discussion proposed the vote of thanks by thanking all the Resource Persons & the Management for providing the opportunity to conduct these kinds of programs in the Institute, he also thanked IT Team, CDL Team & other supporting staff in the Institution.


The various factors that encourage entrepreneurship today, such as government schemes, digital empowerment, markets willing to experiment, and support systems like Entrepreneurial Catalysts, government organizations etc., were discussed. It was a great platform for our students and they discussed with entrepreneurs/ leaders and exchanged their views for tomorrow's challenges as well as how to leverage current business opportunities.
