DRISHTI INAUGURATION

The event started with a meeting held online when the details of the program were decided. Thereafter the heads of Team Drishti, Team M&C, and Creative Team took on their areas of responsibility and the work on all events began. Team Drishti started working on the play which they were going to perform on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of December on the occasion of World AIDS Day, National Pollution Control Day and World Disability Day,



Team M&C on the Posters of all the plays and the teaser video of the event as also selected the photographers and videographers who would be present on the field for taking photos and videos of the event, Team Creative started on the handmade posters and all the props which would be needed in the play and on the day of the event. All teams gathered at the Quadrangle and the preparations for the event began.

Within the next 3 days, the scripts were ready and the rehearsals began. The Team M&C was busy with the posters and simultaneously was recording the pre-event preparations which were going on in the college for the pre-event teaser of the event. Team Creative was ready with the props for the plays and all handmade posters which would be flashed on the day of the event.


The first event was on the 1st Of December - World AIDS Day, the first day of the event took place in the Quadrangle at 12:50 PM with loud sounds to attract and gather students and faculty. Thereafter the anchor gives a brief description of World AIDS Day and about the play. The act started.


The act was based on how AIDS cannot be spread through just sitting beside or handshaking and informing all the people about what is AIDS and how it can be spread and what are the First Aid measures should be taken If someone is diagnosed with AIDS. After that, all the CSA members gathered together and thanked everyone for attending the event and also invited everyone for the second day's Act.


The venue on 2nd December 2021 was the MBA Block Amphitheater at 1:00 PM, where National Pollution Control Day was observed. The crowd was almost double that on the first day. Team Drishti set up their props for the act and did a final discussion about the play, Team M&C set up their tripods at the different locations for videos and all the photographers and videographers were in their places. The audience were thanked for their presence. Then the play began.


It showed how a farmer committed suicide because his crops failed due to the pollutants which were released by the local chemical factory in the lake from which the farmers used water for their crops, and how the son of the deceased farmer approached the media and exposed the real face of the factory. The play was well-liked and was really appreciated by all. The actors performed extremely well. This was followed by a meeting in the evening for a debriefing on the second day’s performance and preparation for the third and final day. While team Drishti rehearsed the play for the final day, Team M&C started work on the posters for the third day and on posting videos of the first two days on social media platforms.


The event on 3rd December 2021 on the occasion of World Disability Day, took place at 12:30 PM, again at the Central Block Quadrangle. As usual, it started with a small meeting for the final preparation and discussion of the event. The event started with loud noises to draw everyone’s attention.


After thanking everyone for their presence and interest in the event, Team Drishti put up their act, which was based on how Disability need not be a hindrance to progress in one’s career how the differently-abled have the power and do much in their career path. Everyone liked the play a lot and the whole team’s performance was appreciated by all.


Team CSA thanked everyone for their presence and promised more such events in the future. Dr Fr Jossy P George, Director and Dean Lavasa Campus addressed the audience and appreciated the inaugural effort of Team Drishti.

The three-day event of the Inauguration of Team Drishti was well appreciated. The team was able to convey meaningful messages on the occasion of World AIDS Day, National Pollution Control Day and World Disability Day by means of short plays in an informal setting.
