WEBINAR SERIES ON ‘THE ART AND SCIENCE OF TECHNICAL PAPER WRITING’

As a part of the Research Webinar Series, the Centre for Research, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organised a talk on "The Art and Science of Technical Paper Writing' Dr Sanjay D Pohekar delivered the lecture.

Dr Pohekar is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Head of Research programs at Symbiosis Centre for Research and Innovation at Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. He is also a Mechanical Engineer by education and an academic administrator by profession. He obtained his doctorate from BITS, Pilani, in 2004 and has over 30 years of experience in teaching, research and industry.


Prof  Monica L welcomed the guest and provided a brief introduction of the speaker. Prof Pohekar started his lecture by explaining the elements of research output and the strategies for publishing research articles. He made the participants understand the requirements of various journals. He also provided insights into writing a technical paper and its components. He pointed out the common errors in the manuscript and how to rectify them. He ended his lecture by talking about the reviewers' expectations. It was followed by a Q & A session. 

The session was helpful to well established and budding researchers of the university.  Dr Jayant Mahajan gave the vote of thanks and aptly concluded that intellectual capital is an essential resource that needs to be built.

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
