THE AFTER-ACADEMIC LIFE AT CHRIST LAVASA

Beyond the four walls of the classes exists a kind of student life where ideas are discussed and implemented until sundown. Whether it is exhibiting talent or trying new things, students have ample opportunities to get involved, make friends, and be a part of the student community by joining the following Clubs, Centres, and Groups at the CHRIST Lavasa Campus.

CENTRE FOR SOCIAL ACTION (CSA) 

Centre for Social Action is the development wing of CHRIST Lavasa which coordinates social sensitization programs for students and undertakes community development projects for marginalised communities. It is a unique group that focuses on making change for a better society. 

CSA at CHRIST Lavasa has conducted cleanliness drives, Each One-Teach One initiatives, nukkad natak on awareness about various social taboos and is an evolving space where new perspectives are always discussed and questions are often raised.

 ‘It's not about the tech-savvy skills in your resume. It is all about being happy and doing good.’

CLAVA DE MUSES

The completely student-led club, CLAVA DE MUSES, is a one-stop destination for every literature lover on Campus. The club's name draws inspiration from Latin words Clava and muses and it is truly a club where literary artists come together to discuss, debate, and discover aspects of various literature and pop culture.

Under the umbrella of CLAVA DE MUSES lie the four wings:-

●        Eunoia - The Literary Wing

●        Mistr Pisarz - The Writing Wing

●        Cinemour -  The Pop Culture Wing

●        Teesri Duniya - The Theatre Wing

STUDENT WELFARE OFFICE (SWO)

With representation from the whole University, SWO is amongst the largest student-led body of CHRIST Lavasa. It is an organisation of the students, by the students, and for the students. The office is divided into various teams as per the defined job role. The teams include the Emcee Team, Lit Team, Records, Cultural Team, Stage Arts Team, Dance and Music Team.

NATIONAL CADETS CORPS(NCC)

With 80 slots, CHRIST Lavasa has its own group of NCC cadets. With students often chasing the rising sun and climbing flights of stairs, NCC training in the serene backdrop of Lavasa is a surreal experience. Here at CHRIST Lavasa, NCC is regarded as the group of the finest and most disciplined students who actively work towards maintaining order in and around the Campus. If cracking SSB or adorning ‘The Uniform’ is your dream, then this might just be the place to start. 



SPORTS TEAM

Sports in Lavasa is more than just a competition. It is in the badminton courts where the faculties and students interact first. The difference between seniors and juniors vanishes in basketball matches, and the aim remains. Currently, the College has teams for the following sports:

NEWSLETTER

At CHRIST Lavasa, all departments have their newsletter. Being part of an editorial team of the department’s newsletter is a breakthrough for all budding writers and researchers. The departmental newsletter gives students a chance to learn and upskill themselves.

DEPARTMENT  CLUBS

Beyond that, all departments have their own clubs and bodies continuously conducting activities like research, creative projects, and out-of-campus events.

STUDENT COUNCIL

Divided into two segments: University Level Student Council and Department Level Student Council, the Student Council of CHRIST Lavasa is the strongest body of the Campus. The council is led by the university-level student council, which is the apex body supported by the student council at the department level. Being a part of the Student Council of CHRIST Lavasa is an eye-opening experience. The members become the voice of all. The team is solely responsible for DAKSH and open forums.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTATION AND SECURITY - IDSCS’22

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
