CORPORATE TALK

The Department of MBA organized a Corporate talk on 25th February 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. 31 Masters students participated in the event, including students from Marketing, Business Analytics, and Human Resource MBA specializations.


The resource person was Mr Abhilash Chatterjee. The speaker firstly spoke about his life experiences working and living in South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, India, and managing Africa and the Middle East. He brought a unique perspective of not only domain experience but knowledge of BFSI, product deployment strategies, Service Delivery, client management in developed and emerging economies. He has experience as a vendor and user of technology.


Mr Abhilash Chatterjee talked about his life experiences when he worked in the corporate industry. The speaker spoke about the importance of basic knowledge about all domains in business. Not just a single specialization. Mr Chatterjee spoke about how internships and experience in different industries are essential for development and growth in corporate life. He then spoke about startups and said that we should plan for startups preferably after working in a company for a year or two; with adequate experience, we will excel in it.

The next component of his talk involved sharing inputs on basic knowledge of all domains and how internships are essential for experience and CV. The next element in the talk was about Startups, where he highlighted how experience plays a vital role in starting one's startup. The final component was Questions and answers, and there were multiple queries from students regarding various aspects.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTATION AND SECURITY - IDSCS’22

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. Dr Samiksha Shukla welcomed the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, Vice-Chancellor and the keynote speakers for the day and summarized forthcoming events of IDSCS'22.
