ELIXIR- FRESHER’S DAY 2020 ORGANIZED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND MANAGEMENT

Elixir is an online Freshers event with the main aim to make the juniors more familiar to the classic college events and a great way to start a communication with their seniors. Elixir meaning something magical, is the way we want our juniors to taste the experience of this University.

CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus has a positive environment to bring out people to nurture through every talent they wish for. It builds the bridge between the seniors and juniors to collectively bring out their passion.


The event began with an address by our Director and Dean, Dr. Fr. Jossy George who addressed the faculty and students about this programme and also released the Department’s Official Magazine The Realm written and edited by the students themselves.


It was a 1-day event but followed quite a many rounds and screening to reach the final day finalists. The participants got to know about our event through our official social media handle of Commerce and Management with trailers and event descriptions.  Regular updates by our event heads helped them to follow up with rounds.

The Euphony team came up with 10 performances including both group songs by 1styr students and individual songs by 2ndyr students. And similar for Dancing Dynasty, they had 2 dance performances.

Games added the fun on both on and off platforms

Elixir title had several rounds…only few could reach the last: 3 rounds and a stress interview with the 8 finalists. 

All the three rounds were activity based which went through shortlisting process. Last but not least, the stress interview round, the 8 finalists were grilled by 3Judges (Prof. Briji Jose, Prof. Amala Siby, Ms. Sharon Benjamin).

It wasn’t only the juniors performing but the seniors as well, to bring in the sportsmen spirit and encourage them to start this journey with full enthusiasm. Though being an online event, we saw a great participation from both the sides, we appreciate everyone’s effort to make it possible. And that brings us back to believing magic is real. 

It was a lot to sum up in few words…so just some glimpses from the event!!!!!…

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. This was followed by an introduction about the resource persons by Ms Pretty Rose Sebastian & Mr Shreeyash Goel, Students of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics). INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTATION AND SECURITY - IDSCS’22

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. Dr Samiksha Shukla welcomed the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, Vice-Chancellor and the keynote speakers for the day and summarized forthcoming events of IDSCS'22.
