Director's Address - Webinar on "Intersection of Law and Technology: Opportunities & Risks"

Good evening to one and all present here today for this webinar.

I would like to begin by congratulating the law department of CHRIST Lavasa for taking the initiative to mark this Law & Technology Day, one among many commemorated in the last few months. Often we are unaware of the significance, let alone, the existence of many such important days and I whole heartedly appreciate the team for committing to this endeavor of marking important days with webinars and departmental events. I’m sure everyone who has participated in the events so far are a little more enlightened on the topics discussed over the course of these commemorations.

The intersection of Law and Tech is indeed an interesting field, and one of increasing relevance in the tech driven times that we currently live in. Security concerns like where and how is the content that we put out being consumed is often a cause of worry. In such a situation, the topic of discussion for today is of increasing importance. I extend a warm welcome to the speaker – Mr. Aloke Goel. I hope your expertise and knowledge will be an enriching experience for the students.

Without further ado, I conclude. I would like to once again extend my appreciation to the Law Dept.
