FAREWELL PREMIERE NIGHT 2025: Farewell to MSc Data Science and MSc Economical Analytics Final Years

The School of Sciences organized a heartfelt Farewell Programme titled “Farewell Premiere Night 2025” on 22nd May 2025 to bid adieu to the outgoing final year students of MSc Data Science and MSc Economical Analytics. Held at the Activity Hub, the event was a blend of gratitude, celebration, and nostalgia, reflecting the academic journey and shared memories of the graduating class. With a vibrant Bollywood theme, the evening unfolded like a red-carpet gala filled with dazzling performances, emotional moments, and joyful celebrations. The venue was decorated in cinematic style, complete with lights, colours, and a festive atmosphere reminiscent of a true movie premiere.

The programme began with a warm Welcome Address by our Academic Coordinator Fr. Justin P Varghese, followed by inspiring and heartfelt speeches from our Head of the Department, Dr. Lija Jacob and our Associate Dean, Dr. Jibrael Jos, who reflected on the students’ journey, appreciated their contributions, and encouraged them to take on the future with confidence.

The cultural segment started off with a spirited dance performance by the girls, setting the mood for the evening. Important announcements regarding distribution of tickets in the true movie theatre style and activities to be followed were made. A series of fun games, engaging over most of the seniors as the participants in brought energy and excitement to the floor.

A beautiful Couple Dance Performance added charm to the evening, while laughter and cheers filled the hall during the second round of games. One of the event’s most touching moments was the screening of a Video Tribute from Teachers to the outgoing students, evoking fond memories and heartfelt emotions.

The evening followed by more lively and entertaining dances performed by the junior class. The atmosphere turned stylish and competitive with the much-awaited Ramp Walk, where students showcased confidence and flair and also set the tone for the prestigious Mr. and Mrs. Farewell. The stage then came alive with a series of Dance Performances by the boys and group, culminating in a montage of farewell videos from the seniors, filled with memories and laughter.

The Awards Ceremony was one of the most awaited moments of the evening, filled with cheer, excitement, and heartfelt applause. It featured a range of fun and unique categories that highlighted the individuality and achievements of the outgoing students. Titles like “Most Energetic Person” awarded to Swastik Roy, “Best Coder” to Mubashir Salim, and “Future CEO” to Anushya Francisca reflected the diverse strengths and aspirations of the batch. Each announcement was met with enthusiastic cheers and celebratory moments, making the segment a lively and memorable tribute to the class of 2025. Along with this the Department also felicitated all the students who had special achievements throughout the year in sports, cultural or technical fests and events with a special appreciation certificate.

And then came the final and most anticipated moment of the evening — the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Farewell, a title that celebrates charisma, confidence, and the spirit of the batch. Amid cheers and applause, Mr. Farewell 2025 was awarded to Swastik Roy and Ms. Farewell 2025 to Falak Ansari, marking a proud and emotional finale to an unforgettable night.

The evening took a delightful turn with a surprise dance performance by the seniors. With infectious energy, coordinated moves, and a whole lot of emotion, the performance was a heartfelt tribute to friendship and shared memories. It was a moment of pure joy that lit up the room and brought smiles to every face — a fitting celebration of their final days together on campus.

The evening concluded with a lively DJ session, where everyone danced with joy, followed by a delicious dinner that brought the celebrations to a perfect close.
