Club Activity - 1st November 2025

The School of Business and Management (BBA) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, conducted its Week 7 Club Activity on 1st November 2025. Unlike the previous week, which emphasized inter-club collaborations, this session focused on deep, specialized skill-building within individual clubs, with one unique collaborative sports event. The activities showcased a diverse blend of simulations, gamification, AI-based tools, and communication-focused exercises, all designed to enhance students’ practical and professional competencies.

The HRM Club conducted an interactive simulation titled “Employee Auction.” Students were divided into seven teams, each provided a budget of ₹1000 to bid for a pool of 26–27 employee CVs. The CVs varied from top-tier to wild-card profiles. The exercise mimicked a real-world recruitment process, requiring teams to assess candidate value, manage limited resources, and strategically build an ideal workforce. This activity strengthened students’ understanding of HR analytics, talent acquisition, and organizational decision-making.

The Analytics Club introduced members to Julius AI, an innovative artificial intelligence–powered analytics platform. Through a live demo using marketing datasets, students learned how natural language prompts could be used to run analyses, identify patterns, and generate visual insights without coding. This hands-on exposure helped students appreciate how AI is transforming data exploration, automation, and decision-making in modern business environments.

The MDQ Club hosted “Declamation: The Voice of Influence,” achieving full participation. Members delivered speeches embodying prominent leaders, focusing on non-verbal cues, vocal tone, pacing, and rhetorical style. This session significantly strengthened members’ public speaking confidence and their ability to communicate with persuasive clarity.

The SMPR Club conducted two consecutive activities: the “Brand Story Challenge” and the “Brand Debate Challenge.” In the first, teams created PR narratives for humorous and mismatched brand–product pairings such as “Tesla launching perfume.” In the second, students debated whether companies in crisis should remain silent or issue public statements. Both activities helped learners enhance their creativity, crisis-response skills, and strategic PR thinking.

The Marketing Club adopted a blended gamified approach, combining the traditional game “Ghoda Jamalshahi” with a “Pitch Challenge.” Tagged players had to present marketing concepts, taglines, jingles, and pitches on the spot. This dynamic structure encouraged teamwork, quick decision-making, and spontaneous creativity, leading to an energetic and highly engaging session.

The Finance Club organized “Finance Dumb Charades,” where students acted out key financial terms such as “stock market crash” and “startup pitch.” The activity transformed theoretical concepts into enjoyable, memorable learning experiences that improved recall, teamwork, and conceptual clarity.

In a unique collaborative initiative, the ED Club and Communi-Cat Club hosted an outdoor sports event featuring football, basketball, and volleyball. Students were randomly grouped, ensuring they worked with unfamiliar peers while enhancing communication, coordination, and team dynamics—mirroring real organizational settings. The session also helped students refresh and reconnect after the Diwali break.

Overall, Week 7 effectively met its objectives by offering deep skill enhancement, hands-on experiential learning, and creative engagement across all clubs. From AI-based analytics and HR simulations to PR debates, gamified learning, and team sports, the activities contributed meaningfully to students’ holistic professional development.
