Club Activity - 8th November 2025

The School of Business and Management (BBA) organised its Week 8 Club Activity on 8th November 2025, featuring an impressive range of formats including academic simulations, contemporary case analyses, experiential learning, and creative collaborations. Unlike earlier weeks that focused more on inter-club exchanges, this week’s activities emphasised deeper, domain-specific skill development while still incorporating a few unique collaborative elements. The diversity of sessions reflected the school’s commitment to holistic and industry-relevant student development.

Several clubs engaged students in rigorous analytical and intellectual exercises. The MDQ Club conducted an “Indian Political Committee Simulation,” assigning participants specific political perspectives and requiring them to argue in character. This activity pushed students to conduct detailed policy research while simultaneously strengthening their oratory skills, negotiation abilities, coalition-building, and consensus-seeking. The HRM Club explored a challenging organisational dilemma through a case study titled “The Performance vs. Honesty Dilemma.” Acting as HR executives, students navigated the ethical complexities of addressing a top performer who had misused company software for personal freelance work. This case reinforced critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and strategic decision-making, bridging HR theory with real-world workplace challenges.

The Marketing Club delivered a high-impact session analysing contemporary business models through curated video and podcast content. Students contrasted the vertical integration and scale-driven strategies of the Ambani and Adani groups with Zerodha’s transparency and value-led disruptive model. The structured comparison provided students with a holistic understanding of how different strategic approaches can lead to market leadership, guiding them to reflect on capital intensity, user empowerment, and innovation.

Other clubs adopted interactive and skill-based methods. The Communi-Cat Club conducted “Decode the Drama – The Expression Exchange,” a lively session centred on non-verbal communication. Through silent acting, emotion relays, and team-based interpretation challenges, students enhanced their emotional awareness, observation, empathy, and non-verbal expression—skills essential for effective communication.

Despite low attendance, the Analytics Club pivoted seamlessly, transforming their planned activity into a highly productive concept-checking session. Students revised analytical functions, data interpretation techniques, and foundational concepts, facilitating active discussions and peer learning.

Creativity, teamwork, and spontaneity were the focus of a collaborative session led by the ED and SMPR Clubs. Students performed humorous, improvised roleplays based on unconventional prompts, testing their quick-thinking, creativity, marketing sense, and presentation skills. The activity was well-received and fostered an energetic environment.

A unique highlight of Week 8 came from the Finance Club, which organised an outdoor “Dodge Ball” session at the Activity Hub. Intended as a break from academic routines, the game effectively promoted teamwork, coordination, communication, and stress relief. The activity offered a refreshing contrast to more academically intense sessions, contributing to overall student well-being.

In summary, Week 8 successfully balanced intellectually demanding simulations with creative and physical activities. The diverse engagement strategies provided students with opportunities to enhance cognitive, communication, analytical, ethical, and interpersonal skills, thereby enriching their holistic development.
