Preparation For “Employability Skills For Christ Institute Of Management Students”
After carefully considering various aspects of training the
students for corporate sector a comprehensive proposal has been initiated for
MBA students by Talent next, an HR Consulting and Services firm. It commenced
on 30th September 2019 and will be conducted henceforth every Monday
till December 2019.
The program will train the students in facing an interview, which
would touch upon aspects like a mock interview followed by a group discussion
and finally a post interview feedback. The next step would be teaching them
skills related to reasoning, aptitude, general awareness, resume writing,
technicalities and various other skills associated with facing an interview for
placement.
Talent next, an HR Consulting and Services firm offers customized
solutions aimed at meeting a company’s business and talent needs. The firm is
led by an HR professional, who has 20 years of strategic and operational human
resources experience spread across Telecom, IT, auto and realty space out of
which 11 years have been in a leadership role. It is supported by senior HR
professionals with 20+ years of experience in some of the leading IT companies.
It has experts in HR and business consulting, OD professionals and talent
hunters who have experience in working for 500 companies and have worked for
successful Indian organizations like TELCO, Tata Power, Atlas Copco, Arvind
Mills Ltd., Amdocs, SunGard Global Technology, Hella Automotive Technology
Centre, Kewill Solution, Cognizant, HSBC, Zensar Technologies, Fluxomic etc.
The facilitators for reasoning and aptitude are Mr Deepak Jaryal
and Pratik Ambastha.
Mr Deepak Jaryal has done MBA from Symbiosis. He is an enthusiastic
and a dedicated academic instructor (Quant, DI and LR) with an experience of 12
years and a proven track record of academic excellence in classroom training
and coaching. He is aware of the latest trends in aptitude training industry
with a focus on twin benefits of organizational development and steady
professional growth. He has been training and mentoring students for MBA
entrance tests including GMAT and GRE apart from preparing students for group
discussions, personal interviews, essay writing and group activities conducted
by various MBA colleges.
Mr Pratik Ambastha has done BE (Computers) with 7 years in the
training arena especially aptitude, reasoning and quantitative analysis. His
main objective is to work in an environment which is innovative, challenging,
rewarding and which offers a profound knowledge base to enhance his talent, and
zeal of learning. He is an enthusiastic learner and a diligent worker. He can
think creatively to solve a problem and had good leadership skills.
After undergoing the tests 56 students from Finance, Marketing, HR
and Business Analytics specialization would be ready for placement in March
2020. The facilitators’ approach will be systematic, methodical and full of
personal interaction to instill confidence in the students. They will polish
the quantitative aptitude and reasoning skills of the students. The focus will
be solely on stakeholder’s expectations, planning and detailing of functions,
preparation and revalidation of the expectations and roll out of the
interventions.
The proposal for the training framework will focus on personal
grooming, presentation and confidence, preparation for SIP (Summer Internship
Project), domain knowledge, communication skills, general knowledge and
business awareness.
The group discussion will primarily focus on the overall content,
flow of thoughts, fluency, assertiveness, good listening skills, leadership in
terms of control and management of the group and above all how to consolidate a
topic in group discussion. The personal interview will chiefly focus on domain
knowledge, communication skills, confidence level, personal grooming, career
and goal clarity, SIP, business awareness, corporate awareness and general
knowledge.
