Business Learning Conducts BL Pundit Gamification For MBA Students

An innovative Gamification Training program 'BL Pundit Gamification' was conducted by Mr Puneet Maheshwari, Co-Partner, Business Learning, Analytics Edge Consultants Pvt Ltd (‘Seller’), pioneered by Transcendi - an International Consulting firm, headquartered in Scotland (United Kingdom) on 27^th and 28^th September 2019 at CIM, Lavasa.

Business Simulation Game is a technology driven educational tool that complements management courses and training programs across the B-schools. Business simulations are hands-on learning tools that involve competition between teams/participants. The game-like nature of business simulations is proven to engage participants and develop micro-learning skills resulting into holistic thinking, commercial acumen, decision-making, and strategic skills in a fun and innovative way. Business Learning offered aspiring management graduates a real-time (virtual) business environment through their micro-learning engagement programs.

BL Pundit is a simulated gamification platform set in real life with real life business learning. The teams of up to 15- 20 candidates were allocated areas of responsibility across core business functions of a company. Each level included a 26-minute live business game, a 26-minute review session and a 15-minute planning session for next level. Every minute of live action represented one week of operating the business and 6 months’ trade in 26 minutes or 2 years’ trade in a matter of hours.

Prime learning from the entire program was solely to make students industry ready, give them a comprehensive understanding of an entire product life cycle apart from giving valuable inputs about complete know-how of a corporate life. In doing so the students were groomed to become the best in marketing and best future managers. The students observed that 360-degree management principles were taught through game mechanics using a real time basis corporate strategy. The training session helped students in polishing their business and communication skills. Such experiential learning methodology will result in a higher level of knowledge retention. The qualitative and quantitative evaluation of students’ performance proved beneficial for the students.

The two-day fun filled experiential gamification program was coordinated by CRM, JK Pandey. It is expected that after attending the sessions the students will be able to meet the challenges ahead and stand ready to partner with their prospective companies in delivering effective solutions. The gamification sessions were interesting and meaningful and the students’ enthusiasm and positive spirit made it more productive and enjoyable.
