‘FINANCE TRIVIA’ – The Quiz Competition

On March, 14th and 15th 2023, ‘FINANCE TRIVIA’ - The quiz competition was held between three mentoring groups of finance specialization of School of Business and Management at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa Campus. The competition was conducted in six rounds, namely The Hedge Hog, The Whistle Blower, The Crossword Puzzle, The Expert Round, The Rapid-Fire Round, and The Lone Survivor. The event was well-organized and well-attended, with students from all three mentoring groups participating in the competition. Each round was designed to test the knowledge and understanding of finance concepts of the participants. The first round, The Hedge Hog, was a team-based round where each team had to identify the financial terms based on a given definition. COURT VISIT

The Legal Aid and Awareness Committee of the School of Law organised a court visit to the Pune District Court for third and fourth year law students.Understanding court operations, judicial officers' roles and responsibilities, and how courts administer justice were all goals of the study. During this tour, the students participated in an interactive learning session through interacting with lawyers.The court visit was planned so that the students could learn via experience and analyse their decisions as well as the areas they needed to improve in. Such visits are crucial in law school since there should be a relationship between what is learned in the classroom and actual legal practise. In order to better understand why the law is written the way it is, students also have the opportunity to observe real-world cases. DLSA GUEST LECTURE

Ms Madhugita Sukhatme began the programme by addressing the audience and reciting the preamble to the Indian Constitution for the pupils. She associated the dependence of legal language and legal ease with the functioning of the law. Further, she explained the preamble to the students in 3 languages namely Marathi, English and Hindi to illustrate how a “cosmopolitan” population can be educated. Her speech included a variety of topics, including fundamental rights and duties in relation to the Right to Education. She supported her explanations with the evidence of the theory of “Origin of Law”. Wherein, she compared literature and religious scriptures that influenced and persuaded the formation of the laws of the Union of India. She also cited DLSA's (District Legal Services Authorities, Pune) many services and schemes undertaken independently for giving free advocacy and litigation to women and disadvantaged members of the society. JING-A-LOGO: CLUB LOGO AND TAGLINE UNVEILING COMPETITION

The School of Business and Management MBA's marketing department organised the Jing-a-logo: Club logo and tagline unveiling competition on 17th March in the management block auditorium during the 1 pm to 2.30 pm club hours with MBA first-year students in attendance. The event aimed to provide an interactive and creative platform for first-year MBA students to showcase their talents. The promotional activity was conducted in the previous two weeks, where each specialisation had to plan and create a club logo and a tagline. Each club had also to plan a play, and dance to back up the theme. The event started at 1 pm, and the student coordinators ensured all the students were well seated and settled.
