‘FINANCE TRIVIA’ – The Quiz Competition
On March, 14th and 15th 2023, ‘FINANCE TRIVIA’ - The quiz competition was held between three mentoring groups of finance specialization of School of Business and Management at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa Campus. The competition was conducted in six rounds, namely The Hedge Hog, The Whistle Blower, The Crossword Puzzle, The Expert Round, The Rapid-Fire Round, and The Lone Survivor.
The event was well-organized and well-attended, with students from all three mentoring groups participating in the competition. Each round was designed to test the knowledge and understanding of finance concepts of the participants.
The first round, The Hedge Hog, was a team-based round where each team had to identify the financial terms based on a given definition. This round was challenging, and each team had to work together to identify the correct terms. The teams displayed their knowledge and understanding of finance concepts, and the round was won by the team that showed the most comprehensive knowledge.
The second round, The Whistle Blower, was a buzzer round where each team had to answer questions based on finance concepts. The round was fast-paced and competitive, and the teams displayed their quick thinking and knowledge of financial concepts. This round was won by the team that had the quickest reflexes and answered the most questions correctly.
The third round, The Crossword Puzzle, was a fun and interactive round that tested the participants' knowledge of finance concepts through a crossword puzzle. The round was won by the team that completed the puzzle first.
The fourth round, The Expert Round, was a one-on-one round where each participant had to answer questions related to their respective areas of expertise in finance. This round was won by the participant who displayed the most in-depth knowledge of their area of expertise.
The fifth round, The Rapid-Fire Round, was a high-intensity round where the participants had to answer as many questions as possible in a limited amount of time. This round was won by the participant who answered the most questions correctly in the shortest amount of time.
The sixth and final round, The Lone Survivor, was a team-based round where each team had to answer questions related to finance concepts until only one team remained. This round was won by the team that showed the most perseverance and knowledge of finance concepts.
Overall, the quiz competition was a resounding success, with each round challenging the participants and testing their knowledge of finance concepts. The event was well-organized and well-attended, and the participants displayed a high level of enthusiasm and competitiveness throughout the competition. The winners of the competition were awarded prizes, and the participants were given certificates of participation. The event was a great learning experience for all the participants, and it provided them with an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and understanding of finance concepts.
In conclusion, the winners of the quiz competition were Aditya Srivastava, Harihara Sudan, and Anirudh Menon from the mentoring group of Prof. Mohit Boralkar, who displayed exceptional knowledge and understanding of finance concepts throughout the competition. The second position was secured by Karthick Menon, Leon Mathew, and Priyasmita Das from the mentoring group of Dr. Danish Hussain. The participants put in a tremendous effort to prepare for the competition, and their hard work paid off in the form of a successful event. The competition provided an excellent opportunity for the participants to demonstrate their financial knowledge and understanding, and it was a great learning experience for everyone involved. The event concluded on a high note, with the winners receiving their prizes and the participants taking away valuable insights and experiences.
