CSA (CENTRE FOR SOCIAL ACTION) CLUB INAUGURATED

CSA (Centre for Social Action) Club was inaugurated on 27th September 2018 in the auditorium. It presented the popular saying, `Be a change you wish to see in the world around’. In an untiring effort by some students of Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa, a club named `Vikas’ was formed, to work for a social cause. They intend to educate children of economically weaker section of the society, put a smile on their face and make a difference in their lives. While being empathetic for the society, they genuinely teach them to grow as an individual. The students joyfully use song and dance as a medium to convey their message and it is a satisfying feeling when they see these children cooperate with them.

Director, Dr Fr Jossy P George declared the club open and motivated the students to show concern and cooperate for such a serious cause. Fr Jossy said that as students of CIM they need to go an etc. mile and work hard for the betterment of those children who are not privileged enough to avail basic facilities. Fr Jossy motivated the gathering to spend some time with them. It is not just a moral responsibility but being socially aware of the environment, it becomes imperative to reach out to the lesser fortunate ones and make a difference. He further encouraged Christites to take the initiative and selflessly assist the club members to achieve their aim. Fr Jossy wants the club to go ahead and bring a radical change in their lives in the years to come. Such persistent efforts will be followed by the batches in the years to come.

At the end the football team came in their T-shirts and requested Fr Jossy to cut the cake to mark his birthday. The joyous occasion was cheerfully celebrated and everyone sang the birthday song. It ended with the Christ Anthem. The event was successfully anchored by Atul Kabra and Torani Makana.
