PROPAGATING FOR A GENUINE SOCIAL CAUSE

Analjit, Karishma, Tharun, Anandhu, Lakshmi, Elvis and Jeswin from Christ institute of Management, Lavasa, organized a social awareness campaign "Beti bachao, Beti Padhao" on 12th October 2018.

Propagating for a genuine social cause has always been very close to each Christite. The current trend in the country is making every possible effort to bring about an awareness concerning saving a girl child.

 

Few years ago, there was a massive reduction in the number of women as compared to men. It was chiefly because of an increase in crime against women be it female feticide, dowry death, rape, illiteracy, gender discrimination and much more. To equalize the number of women in the society, it is absolutely necessary to let people become aware about the need and necessity to save a girl child.

 

Government of India has taken some positive and effective steps in this regard in the form protection of women from domestic violence act 2005, ban of female infanticide, immoral traffic (prevention) act, proper education, gender equality, etc. It becomes vital to educate the general public regarding gender discrimination and make efforts to improve the status of women in the Indian society.

 

The faculty members have extended their full support in this case to these students who have taken the initiative to bring about an awareness regarding saving a girl child. Such gestures will affect the mindset of the students and impact the society at large. Instilling the values in the tender mind of the students will go a long way in bringing about a change in the society.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
