CIM Celebrates 70th Republic Day




The country's 70th Republic Day was celebrated at Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa on 26th January 2019. The students and faculty members assembled in the college. After a floral tribute Director, Fr Jossy George unfurled the national flag to mark the occasion. Wind Orchestra team from Christ University, Bengaluru played the national anthem on a medley of musical instruments.



Gp Capt JK Pandey, delivered a speech on this occasion highlighting the relevance of the day. He spoke with pride about the activities that take place in the capital, New Delhi. He narrated the importance of constitution and how it has brought about a remarkable change in the society. He further conveyed President's message about safety for women and maintenance of unity in diversity across the country.



With feedom in mind, faith in words, pride in our hearts, memories of a glorious past Christites saluted the nation and celebrated the occasion.



In another event Dasve Public School's Sports Day was held in the amphitheatre of Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa immediately after the Republic Day celebration. The Chief Guest was General Dhaiya (retired). A vibrant and energetic dance performance gave a befitting start to the event. The well coordinated programmes were appreciated by the gathering.
In all it was a joyous beginning of an important day.
