EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
The students of Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa are all set to meet their alma mater this month. An executive committee meeting was held on Saturday, 5th January 2019 in the Social Scinces Block. It began with a presentation by Director, Dr Fr Jossy George on the journey of CIM since 2014 till date. The formal interaction with Director, selected students and few faculty members was quite meaningful.
The meeting began with an assessment of past alumni activities and it featured various topics such as admission assistance and having a press conference. It was also decided to give a medal for best outgoing student. The academic and corporate relationship was also discussed in detail with specific reference to power talk and corporate kick-off activity.
Some valuable suggestions were made such as making efforts to connect with the current students better and get a suitable name for Alumni Association.
Various proposals were decided for the following year such as have pre- placement talk, more power talk sessions, find different ways to mentor the present students and conduct mock Interviews.
A large number of issues were discussed during the meeting such as creation of an online platform, geo tagging students, sending emails to personal id and create a forum with updated details of the alumni. It was also discussed to have more interaction with students, plan a TED Talk and generate alumni fund. The meeting ended on a positive note followed by tea.
