Global Immersion Program - Malaysia


The group embarked on a captivating journey, starting their day in Kuala Lumpur at 10 AM. Their initial stop was Chinatown, followed by an exciting venture into some of Malaysia's most renowned attractions. Plaza Tugu Negara stood as their first destination, a national monument commemorating the country's fallen heroes. The group then headed to Pusat Bandaraya, the heart of Kuala Lumpur, where Merdeka Square, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Masjid Jamek, and Central Market unfolded before their eyes. The day culminated at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, a structure resonating with the nation's identity.

Day 2: unfolded with a session on "Smart and Sharp Skills," led by Miss Fadzilla. Group activities and discussions ensued, enhancing their understanding of hard and soft skills. Insights on emotional maturity, adaptability, and cognitive readiness were shared, offering valuable tools for future endeavors. A task focusing on emotional intelligence added depth to their interpersonal skills. The day's activities included exploring product analysis, consumer preferences, and eTiQa's operations, guided by Mr. Harris and Miss Ezza. Pavilion Mall beckoned later, providing an opportunity to observe popular shops and conduct analyses.

Day 3: commenced with a visit to Urban Hijau, an urban farm endeavoring to transform urban food consumption sustainably. Participants were introduced to permaculture principles and engaged in hands-on activities. The journey continued to the Royal Selangor Pewter Factory and Visitor Centre, where participants delved into pewter craftsmanship, guided by the skilled artisans at work.


Day 4: offered an immersive experience into Malaysia's natural and cultural offerings. Participants explored the Batu Caves, guided by Ms. Johnson, navigating intricate Hindu temples within ancient limestone formations. Genting Highlands awaited next, with breathtaking views and attractions like theme parks and casinos, further enriching their understanding.



The event's climax on Day 5 featured participants' presentations, showcasing their knowledge and insights. Certificates were distributed under the guidance of Ms. Smith, followed by a memorable photo session. Times Square Mall marked their final visit before participants bid farewell to Kuala Lumpur, carrying back memories of an eventful journey blending exploration, learning, and cultural engagement. The experience left an enduring impact, fostering adaptability and cultural awareness among the participants.




OUTCOMES OF THE EVENT

1. Students acquired a diverse skill set, including emotional intelligence and problem-solving, through workshops on smart skills and engaging in tasks like consumer preference analysis, enhancing their readiness for future endeavors.
2. The event's cultural immersion, spanning visits to historical landmarks and interaction with local communities, fostered cross-cultural understanding and personal growth, shaping students into adaptable and culturally aware individuals.
