The Algorithmic Trading workshop was a 3-hour event that covered the basics of the stock market, options trading, manual vs. algorithmic trading, and a profitable options strategy. The workshop also included hands-on training on the Tradetron platform. The workshop was well-received by the students and they found the information to be valuable and informative. The instructor was a seasoned algorithmic trader with over 10 years of experience and was able to clearly explain the concepts and answer the students' questions. About the Workshop: The Algorithmic Trading workshop was held on September 15, 2023, at the Tradetron office in Mumbai. The workshop was attended by 120 students, all of whom were interested in learning more about algorithmic trading.




The workshop was divided into five parts:
  1. Introduction to the Stock Market and Trading: This part of the workshop covered the basics of the stock market, including concepts like stocks, bonds, and derivatives. The instructor also discussed the different types of trading orders and the different ways to make money in the stock market.
  2. Understanding Options Trading: This part of the workshop introduced students to options trading, including concepts like call and put options. The instructor also discussed the different types of options strategies and how to choose the right strategy for a particular investment goal.
  3. Manual vs. Algorithmic Trading: This part of the workshop compared manual and algorithmic trading approaches. The instructor discussed the pros and cons of each approach and helped students to decide which approach is right for them.
  4. Profitable Options Strategy: This part of the workshop presented a profitable and backtested options trading strategy. The instructor walked the students through the strategy step-by-step and explained how to use it to make money in the stock market.
  5. Hands-on Training on Tradetron: This part of the workshop gave students hands-on experience with the Tradetron platform. The instructor guided the students through the process of creating the presented strategy using the platform.

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM.
