Pixels For Purpose- Digital T shirt Designing Competition

On World Humanitarian Day 2023, the Center for Counselling and Health Services (CCHS) orchestrated a remarkable and imaginative event - the Digital T-Shirt Designing Competition- Pixels . The competition aimed at spreading awareness about the crucial day and was conceived with the intention of not only paying tribute to the noble spirit of humanitarianism but also harnessing the remarkable power of artistic expression and digital design.

The competition stood as a platform where students from all departments of the college could channel their creativity and convey messages steeped in empathy, solidarity, and unwavering support for humanitarian endeavours that transcend borders. It was a virtual rendezvous where participants from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of artistic expertise came together to showcase their talents and make meaningful contributions to a global cause. This digital t Shirt designing competition gave students an opportunity to think differently and showcase their talents as well as do their bit in order to raise awareness on this occasion, and show that they care.

Under the overarching theme of "The Human Race" and the resonating slogan, "It Takes a Village," the competition accentuated the significance of uniting people from every walk of life. It sought to encourage participants to craft designs that encapsulated the essence of humanitarian work, illuminated the struggles faced by vulnerable populations, and symbolised the hope for a brighter future. This event was a celebration of artistic innovation on this pivotal day dedicated to honouring the champions of humanity.

Participants were provided with clear guidelines and a set of rules and regulations to adhere to while submitting their designs. The competition was not merely about applauding the victors; it was a collective effort to raise awareness about the humanitarian challenges that persist globally and underscored the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need.

Furthermore, in a bid to make the event even more accessible and to amplify its impact, a virtual exhibition for all the winners was showcased across screens on the campus. This exhibition provided a larger audience with the opportunity to admire the creativity and thoughtfulness that helped these students to articulate what they felt for the cause and win this competition, thereby further spreading the message of compassion and empathy.

The Digital T-Shirt Designing Competition held on World Humanitarian Day 2023 was an inventive and dynamic way to commemorate this important occasion. It went beyond merely celebrating the artistic prowess of participants; it instilled a sense of collective responsibility and a call to action, reminding everyone that small acts of kindness and empathy can create ripples of change across the globe.

In addition to the competition, the Center for Counselling and Health Services team demonstrated their commitment to raising awareness by creating an Instagram post that resonated with the student community. The post emphasised the importance of kindness and compassion in the spaces where students live and learn. It urged students to foster empathy, educate others about humanitarian issues, advocate for positive change, and extend a helping hand to those in need. The message was clear: think globally, use your voices, and collectively create brighter and more inclusive spaces for all of humanity. This multi-faceted approach helped ensure that the spirit of World Humanitarian Day 2023 reverberated far and wide, leaving a lasting impact on hearts and minds.
