GFG- INAUGURAL SESSION

On the auspicious day of November 6, 2023, between the hours of 3:30 to 4:30 pm, a momentous event unfolded within the hallowed halls of Christ (Deemed to be University) in Lavasa. The occasion marked the inaugural ceremony of the Student Chapter of Geeks for Geeks, an event poised to be enlightening and impactful. The orchestrated proceedings commenced with an eloquent introduction by the Masters of Ceremony, setting a tone of anticipation for what promised to be an engaging and informative convocation.

Following the initial introduction, the spotlight shifted towards the core team members, a group of adept individuals entrusted with the responsibility of steering the Geeks for Geeks chapter to success within the confines of the academic institution. The deliberate acknowledgement of these key figures served to underscore the organizational prowess behind the newly established chapter.

A notable highlight of the event was the distinguished address delivered by Dr. Lija Jacob, the erudite Head of the Department of Data Science. Dr. Jacob's oration, undoubtedly steeped in academic acumen, would have provided the attendees with invaluable insights into the profound significance of the Geeks for Geeks chapter. Her discourse likely illuminated the role of this chapter in fostering intellectual curiosity and expertise within the intricate realm of data science.

Adding an interactive and competitive dimension to the proceedings, a Tech Quiz was seamlessly conducted on the Quizziz platform. This cerebral challenge was meticulously designed to scrutinize the participants' knowledge across a spectrum of technical facets, thus imparting an educational and entertaining layer to the event. The inclusion of such an intellectually stimulating activity served to invigorate the attendees and align the event with the scholarly ethos of the academic institution.

The zenith of the event was gracefully reached with the announcement of the Tech Quiz victors. The revelation of the winners, as well as the distinction awarded to the first and second runners-up, provided a crescendo of excitement and accomplishment. The meticulous recognition and subsequent accolades bestowed upon the participants served not only as a testament to their intellectual prowess but also as a means of fostering a spirit of healthy competition within the academic community.


Concluding the event on a positive note, the Vice President, a figure of authority and eminence, took the podium to deliver a gracious vote of thanks. In a gesture marked by sincerity and dignity, the Vice President expressed profound gratitude to all those involved in orchestrating and executing the inauguration of the Student Chapter of Geeks for Geeks. The comprehensive acknowledgment extended to contributors, organizers, and participants alike encapsulated the collective effort that transpired to render the event a resounding success. Additionally, a special note of appreciation was extended to the Head of the Department, Dr. Lija Jacob, for graciously providing us with the wonderful opportunity to establish and celebrate the inception of the Geeks for Geeks Student Chapter within the academic milieu. Her unwavering support and guidance have undoubtedly paved the way for a promising journey ahead.

The event, characterized by its judicious mix of formal introductions, intellectually stimulating talks, interactive quizzes, and sincere acknowledgments, inevitably left an indelible mark on the attendees. The atmosphere, infused with a sense of enthusiasm and camaraderie, undoubtedly served to strengthen the fabric of the college's tech community, fostering an environment conducive to intellectual exploration and collaboration.


OUTCOMES OF THE EVENT
Outcome 1: Introduction and Official start of the Student Chapter
The event marked the official start of the Christ (Deemed to be University) Lavasa, Pune Student Chapter of Geeks for Geeks. The event also exposed the students to the services that are provided by the Student Chapter and by extension, Geeks for Geeks, which can be availed when required by the students.

Outcome 2: Future Goals
The event also helped inform the audience of the upcoming events that are to be conducted by the Student Chapter, which include but are not limited to, a hackathon and any other events as and when prescribed by the Geeks for Geeks guidelines.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM.
