HACKVERSE 2026
CHRIST Infotech in association with School of Sciences, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organised HackVerse 2026 as a platform for school and college students to explore technology, develop ideas, and collaborate on practical challenges. With separate tracks for the two groups, the event combined competition with training, encouraging participants to approach problems creatively and communicate their solutions effectively.
The school track began with an online preliminary round on 26 October 2026, followed by training and the final competition at CHRIST College, Pune, on 31 October 2026. Seven teams registered for this track. Six teams comprising 14 students participated in the online round, while five teams comprising 12 students attended the offline programme.
The inaugural programme of the school track welcomed Fr Arun Antony Chulli, Principal of CHRIST College, Pune; Prof Thomas KT, Head of CHRIST Infotech; faculty members; and participating students. Ms PS Anusha, Trainer and Software Engineer at CHRIST Infotech, was welcomed as the trainer. The programme offered young learners an opportunity to develop their skills through participation, teamwork, and engagement with technology. Training preceded the final challenge, giving students an opportunity to learn before applying their understanding in competition.
Quantum Leopards from St Arnold’s Central School secured first place in the school track. The winning team comprised Aditya Thakkar and Yash Hatekar. Team FinLitKids from Lokseva E School and Jr College, comprising Avanish Naikwadi, Shayan Dey, and Abhimanyu Pandey, secured second place. Third place went to Team Lokseva Warriors from the same institution, represented by Devashree Patil, Neev Pawar, and Daiwik Pande.
The college track was conducted entirely online. Its opening round drew 13 teams comprising 38 students, while nine teams comprising 25 students participated in the final round. The online inauguration and training programme took place on 31 October 2026. In his welcome address, Dr Libin Chacko Samuel emphasised creative thinking, collaboration, and translating ideas into meaningful outcomes. Dr Lija Jacob inaugurated the college track, and Dr Naived George Eappen led the training session.
In the subsequent challenge, “The Build,” teams were required to develop two distinct solutions to a common problem statement. Their submissions included a detailed report and a video presentation explaining their approaches, technologies, contributions, and unique features. Participants could use AI tools, with disclosure of their use and an expectation that teams understood and could explain their work.
Team Infinite Horcrux from Fergusson College secured first place in the college track. Its members were Nirmik Avinash Chawale, Tanisha Tushar Kshirsagar, Chaitany Prakash Choudhari, and Riddhi Nilesh Kahane. Blackspire from CHRIST College, comprising Arnan Ajay Misal, Douglas Fernandes, and Oam More, secured second place.
Beyond the competition, HackVerse encouraged students to view challenges as opportunities for learning. Working within deadlines required planning, coordination, and shared responsibility. Explaining their solutions also highlighted the importance of clear communication. These experiences reinforced the value of combining technical knowledge with creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to explore alternatives.
HackVerse 2026 brought together students at different stages of learning through a shared interest in technology and innovation. The combination of guided training and competitive challenges offered opportunities to practise teamwork, explore alternative approaches, and present ideas clearly. The event recognised the winning teams while celebrating the participation of all students and the support of trainers, faculty members, and organisers who contributed to its conduct across both tracks.
