Fond Farewell to Seniors

It has been rightly said that to meet and to part is the saddest tale of many a human heart. A fond farewell was given by the junior students of Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa to their seniors on 16th March 2019 at Hotel Celebration, Lavasa.

The juniors joined hands and worked in close collaboration with each other to make the evening memorable. A warm welcome at the beginning instantly  made the seniors feel at home. The personalized greetings were received well by them.

The venue was impeccably decorated. The diamond shaped mirrors arranged artistically and a brown nearly leafless tree was creatively decorated with photos stuck on thick sheets of paper. The photo booths and photo frames at strategic locations were a huge draw. The yellow and white balloons which lined the stairs added spark to the decor.

The ambience was set for a memorable evening. Handsome boys and gorgeous girls graced the farewell party given by the juniors. One could see smartly and gracefully turned out seniors move around with grace and poise.

The multiple interactive activities kept everyone engrossed and entertained throughout. In the first activity Jatin recited a self composed poem for Sana. Then Palak had to drink pickle juice as a dare. Next Sanchit danced with reckless abandon on popular numbers as part of an activity with lipstick intact!

Director, Fr Jossy George's farewell speech touched everyone to the core. Every word and every expression had substance and it was quite meaningful.

He recalled the beginning of their journey two years back. It was a day to rejoice their success and accomplishments. They have built a strong foundation for a bright future and attained milestone with honour and integrity. Fr Jossy observed that their zeal and zest helped them to achieve success at the college and inter college level. They scaled new heights after club activities and their performance appraisal was noteworthy. He was proud of their achievements and wished then well for a successful future.

Many fun filled activities kept the seniors engaged and they took part in all of them whole heartedly. Madam and Akash Mathew anchored the event very well and their candid conversation made the evening lively and joyous.

The highlight of the evening was CIM Award Ceremony and a video highlighting the journey of the seniors from fresher's day to farewell day. Mr Beard award was given to Tharun. Mr Eid Ka Chand award went to Priyansh. Mr Funny award was bagged by Akhil Shukla. Josephin was adjudged as Mr Foody. Amit Nagar was declared as Mr Regular. Ms Sanskari prize was given to Ratnavali whereas Ms BBC was none other than Torani. Ms Teddy Bear title was aptly given to cute Palak. Diana was declared as Ms Super Fit.
