National Level Conference Attended by CRM
IMC India Calling Conference was held on Monday, 25th March 2019 at Hotel Taj Lands End, Mumbai. It was attended by CRM Mr JK Pandey from Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa.
A serious discussion was held on INDIA – A land of opportunities – one of the Fastest Growing Economies of the World- An Overview on Policies and Opportunities during the inaugural session.
Mr. Raj Nair - President, IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry gave an introduction about the conference. The welcome address was given by Mr. Rajiv Podar - Chairman, International Business Committee, IMC. A Special Address was given by Guest of Honor, Mr. Deepak Bagla - MD & CEO, Invest India, Mr. Anil Agarwal - Joint Secy- Dept. for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Govt. of India, Mr. Manoj K. Bharti - Additional Secretary (ED & States), Ministry of External Affairs, Mr. Sajjan Jindal - Managing Director, JSW Group and Mr. Amit Agrawal - CEO, Amazon.
There was a brain storming session on Artificial Intelligence in the Concurrent Session and the topic for discussion was AI the Game Changer – An overview on Opportunities and changing the way of doing business.
The Chairman of the session was Dr. Ranjit Nair - Co-Founder & CEO, Germin8 and the distinguished panellists were Mr. Ashank Desai - Founder, Mastek Ltd., Dr. P. Anandan - CEO, Wadhwani Institute of AI and Prof. Shivram Kalyanakrishnan - Asst. Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engg., IIT.
Post lunch the first session featured PITCH COMPETITION, Supporting organization Ispirt. It explored an opportunity for startup companies to display and present products of the future. The session was judged by an eminent Jury comprising of top professionals.
The second session focused on Banking and Finance -Transforming the way Business of Banks & Finance will function in the future. Mr Pandey listened to the talk in rapt attention and will share the information with the concerned faculty members of CIML.
The third session was all about Application -The Future Opportunity to learn about the actual usage and applications. The topics gave him an insight into the issues pertaining to AI and Retail. The sessions were informative, thought provoking and gave him a new dimension to the functioning of corporate world regarding matters related to AI etc.
The Concurrent Session dealt with Retail, Logistics and Global Perspective. All the sessions debated on Interaction on the Future of Retail and showcasing opportunities and discussing policies. Panel discussions on Logistics and Warehousing – The opportunities and challenges were quite impressive and many issues were discussed. The Valedictory Session aptly summed up matters governing all Business Potential in India.
In all it was worth attending the conference wherein IMC, Chamber of Commerce and Industry provided a platform for participating Indian and overseas companies in areas of AI and Retail to forge ties, collaborate, buy or sell technologies and to invest in these emerging sectors with vast market potential in India. It was also a great learning experience for him.
