Women's Day celebrated at CIML
On this International Women's Day, as one goes through the day, one unconsciously thinks of the role women have played in our lives. Everyone has been taught, motivated, cheered, encouraged and looked after by them. There must have been many moments when we have been in awe of them, or coaxed by them, must have had arguments and discussions, bugged by them or irritated when not being understood, yet one cannot deny the important role played by a woman in a person’s life.
Director, Dr Fr Jossy P George conveyed his best wishes to everyone on this occasion.
Assistant Professor Soumya rightly expressed her admiration through a narrative. When a successful woman was asked to share her secret of success, she smiled and said that she started succeeding when she became focused and started fighting for her vision, dreams, ideas, destiny and above all her identity.
Fr Arun Antony appreciated the selfless dedication of every woman in CIM family.
Counsellor Ms Arpita Ghosh wished all the ladies a Happy Woman's Day and motivated them to take pride in being a woman and as a woman accept the difference and respect it too.
Professor Binu Paul was gracious and wished Happy Women's Day to all the ladies of CIM on behalf of all the gentlemen!
Assistant Professor Dr Dilip conveyed his best wishes through a message dedicated to strong women and wished, `may we know them, may we raise them, may we be with them’.
Dr Benny Godwin applauded the efforts of women and said that a woman has everything in her and that's the reason why the world is celebrating her.
Mr JK Pandey rightly said that the strength of a woman can carry the weight of the world.
There was a brief program in the amphitheater wherein personal anecdotes were shared by Anish Abraham and Dr Benny Godwin. It was anchored by Eric Premnath. It made everyone remember the selfless contribution of a woman in their lives as a mother, sister, colleague, daughter, friend and wife. The students could be seen wishing the lady teachers on this occasion. The ladies of CIM got a beautiful gift and a chocolate to mark the occasion.
In the afternoon the house keeping team of sincere and dedicated women got a pleasant surprise. Their willingness to listen, the patience to understand, handling every responsibility with a smile, the strength to support and the heart to care was acknowledged by CIMl. As a mark of honour Ms Arpita and Ms Shraddha conducted a short program for them and expressed their gratitude for their dedication and sincerity and appreciated their untiring efforts. There was a lucky draw for them followed by a short motivational talk to cheer them up.
Thus it can be aptly said that every home, every heart, every feeling, every moment of happiness is complete only with a woman because every woman within her has the power to create, nurture and transform.
