INSPIRA Continues to Inspire



Day two, 1st February 2020 of INSPIRA'20 was quite eventful. The categories were aptly classified to tap the talent of the contestants and give them an opportunity to showcase their talent.


The Champions and Change agents – The Best HR Team

It is a fact that an organization is only as good as the quality of its workforce. Hence, handpicking the right talent for the right job at the right time is what makes an employee a sought-after HR manager. The students showcased their team’s caliber and their individual ability to handle a situation. The rounds were meticulously presented to identify adequately inspiring and aptly demanding HR managers. Every round refracted from a different detail and direction of Human Resource and drove the contestants into evolving from common managerial ground to a manager of substance. It had six rounds and only two students were allowed to take part in it. It was efficiently coordinated by Sanjit Mallik (BBA) and judged by Mrs Rajlakshmi Raman and Ms Priya Chakravarthy.

In Champions and Change agents category Deeya Chhabra and Astha Giri stood first whereas Suvigya Saurabh and Mrinal Jain came second.


The Emerging Entrepreneurs – The Best Management Team

The Emerging Entrepreneurs tested grit, intelligence and unity of the participating teams in five rounds. The rounds were designed to examine the contestants individually and as a team. Each round raised the creativity level and practical knowledge to an extent that prompted growth within each team which eventually resulted in one winning team. Four students were allowed to form a team. The Event Head was Craig Rodrigues (B Com) and was judged by Mr Charan Kumar and Ms Christy Gomez.

Shipra Jha, Abhijith Srihari, Kartikeya Singh and Husain Kanchwala came first. Meenakshi J, Muneer Umer, Tanay Raj and Madhav Chawla came second. 


The Merchants of Mercado – The Best Marketing Team

Marketing events witnessed exciting rounds of activities which tested the combined strength of a team and an individual as they seamlessly integrated the sales and marketing processes of a business. The Merchants of Mercado comprised of dynamic levels that showcased both innovative marketing and interpersonal skills of three members from each team to prove themselves in five rounds. The segments required matching of wits which eventually lead to the emergence of a successful marketer equipped with confidence to counter the ever-so dynamic world of marketing. It was spearheaded by Shristi Rathi (BBA). Mrs Usha Upender and Mr Debaroon Guptha judged the event.

The first position was jointly bagged by Ronak Singhvee and Shyla Arora whereas Kshitij Random, Srivasta Kumar and Afza Desai stood second.


The Sellers of Scorse – The Best Finance Team

One cannot deny that knowledge pertaining to finance and its utilization in the corporate sector is crucial for any organization or an industry. Wealth management and knowledge of its creation in relation to current economy, the finer aspects of finance and the Indian market were explored through each round of this event. The events helped the participants draw a parallel to the indian market, problems faced in the economy and several other facets of finance. Two members competed for the best finance team in five rounds and the event was coordinated by Hareesh A (B Com). The esteemed judges for the event were Mr Pradeep Nair, Ms Priyamvada and Adv. Devender Sharma.

Prabindir Singh Chandra and Vishal Singh came first and Mayank Garg and Pranav Mahatme came second.


The Quizztal Maze – The Best Quizzer

Any business fest is incomplete without testing general awareness. In precisely two rounds two contestants from each team thought and answered questions ranging from general business and management to contemporary kings of business, from the best brands, business strategies, and entrepreneurial ventures to current affairs. The two round event tested the business acumen of two participants who could face a barrage of astute quizzing by a professional in the presence of an enthusiastic audience. Nazreen Shahal (B Com) coordinated it with aplomb and it was judged by Mr Sridhar.


It was won by Parshva Dugad and Madhur Tike and Aman Mardia and Charan K came second.


The Corporate Connoisseur - The Ultimate Manager

This category made the contestants think about business concepts and their innate ability to project if their knowledge and understanding of business concepts were solid and well formed. It tested their knowledge, creativity, talent and confidence. The Corporate Connoisseur tested the contestant’s business acumen, practicality, problem-solving skills and swift decision making capacity through eight rounds that were created around the dynamics of a “Manager”. Only one participant was allowed to contest for the coveted title. The Event Head was Valerena Clayton (BBA) and it was judged by Ms Sherna, Mr Sandeep V and Mr Kapil Tiwari.

Robin Roy emerged as the winner.


The two-day event was successfully coordinated by Professor Vijayakumar S and Assistant Professor Shubhashree Acharya and the student organizers were Aditya Pradhan, Deepika Yalamanchili and Prisha Telang.
