Connect Over Coffee
A fun filled interactive session on expressions of love was organized as part of Connect Over Coffee venture on 7th February 2020 at Management Block Cafeteria. The theme was `Love Is In The Air’ and the students expressed their love for art, nature, dance, music, travel, literature etc. It was a perfect atmosphere to encourage students to shed inhibition and express their innermost feelings, thoughts, dreams, desires and ambitions. Director & Dean, Dr Fr Jossy George also shared his views on the occasion. He was appreciative of the efforts.
As evening descended the students gathered in the cafeteria and the session began over a cup of coffee. The informal ambience made them feel at ease and they began to express themselves as freely as possible. The candid thoughts and feelings straight from their heart was the highlight of the initiative.
There is something about a cup of coffee that instantly invigorates people irrespective of taste or personal preferences. It makes people talk freely and give vent to their pent up emotions and feel the warmth of an audience. It can be rightly said that the best ideas always come up during intense conversations and nothing is better than swapping stories with likeminded people. The coffee session was full of views and observations and ended up forming lively connections. The students assembled in groups, mingled with each other and shared their opinions without fear of being judged.
The session was an effort to fuse coffee and conversation as it is a wonderful combination to let young students express themselves. The unscripted and impromptu words were uttered on the spot and it added to the charm of the entire concept.
Later the team members of TEDxChristULavasa also joined in with great zeal and zest. The session ended with a melodious jam session by the students which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present. It can be rightly said, “A cup of coffee is an excuse to share great thoughts and great minds.” Christy, Rhea, Stuti and Bhavishya Sajith coordinated tirelessly for the event under the guidance of Counsellor, Ms Arpita Ghosh.
