Research Workshop on “Decoding Research Problems Effectively to Attain Best Outcomes” organized by The School of Business and Management
The School of Business and Management of CHRIST (deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa, campus conducted a research workshop on 1st September 2020 from 10-5 pm titled “Decoding Research Problems effectively to attain the best outcomes” The workshop was hosted by Mr Vivek Joshi who has been a corporate research analyst for over 10 years. He started off the session by discussing the importance of research and how it is more than just “accumulation of fact”. He went on to explain through various videos how research changes the world one paper at a time! The workshop then progressed to the understanding of the various stages and phases of research. The main focus of the workshop was the understanding various research problems. The workshop dealt with a number of research problems one may face during their term of research. The major portion of understanding research evolves from understanding the Types of research questions one should ask and await while conducing a business research. This segment was explained through a case study in which students were segregated into groups and had to find effective solutions for the case in hand. Further, Mr. Vivek also discussed about the distillation of a problem and how to formulate problems for an effective conduct of research. Students were once again encouraged to formulate problems on a given topic and all results were discussed. The workshop’s last agenda was the discussion on Research Design and its applications.
At the end of the workshop a Case Study was given and explained for the students to solve for an effective learning session. E- Certificates were provided to all the participants who attended and turned in the assignment for the workshop.
