Following the two successful events of the online fest Fete de La Nomos 2020 (National Virtual Law Fest) it was now the turn for the last event, the Individual Debate competition- `VOX TUSSLE`. Student Bar Association along with the Debating committee conducted the virtual competition under the leadership of Dr. Sunil John. The Legal Debate invited participants from across the nation. The debate was conducted on the Oxford Format. For being qualified to the quarter finals the participants had to send videos of them speaking on the topic which was given, i.e. – “MODERN POLITICS HAS BEEN POISONED BY MEDIA CORPORATIONS.” The best speakers were chosen who were 20 in number and were qualified to the Quarter finals.

On 2nd Sept. All the participants as well has the organising committee were geared up to witness the battle of arguments. The topic under fire for the quarter finals was- “APATHETIC ELECTORATES ARE BETTER THAN CORRUPT POLITICIANS.” We had an esteemed jury of 4 judges namely Dr. Michelle Phillip, Adv. Swati Deshpande , Dr. Becky Thomas & Ms. Prachi Singal. The audience (which comprised of students) was enthralled and amazed at the speaking skills, arguments and questioning skills the speakers showcased.. Out of those 30 speakers representing 30 different colleges across the country, only 4 had to be selected for the Semi-Finals.

On 3rd Sept. The semi finalists were ready to fight for their positions in the finals. The topic under fire for the semi-finals was-“UNBIASED MEDIA~A THING OF THE PAST?” For the semi finals, our panel of judges consisted of Mrs. Audrey Correa & Adv S. Balakrishnan.

Later on the evening of 3rd Sept. All the students and faculty members had gathered online to witness the battle of words between our 2 finalists. The topic under fire for the finals was- “RACISM IS A MATTER OF ONE’S UPBRINGING.” Our jury of judges consisted of Prof. Christopher Bourne who had joined us from Montreal, Canada & Mrs. Harinder Boparai who had joined us from Missouri, USA.
