WEBINAR ON DATA VISUALISATION AND STATISTICS

The Department of Data Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Pune, Lavasa Campus, organised a webinar on 'Data Visualisation and Statistics' on 30th May 2022. The resource person for the day was Mr Prasath VP.

Mr Prasath began his presentation with a brief description of the importance of data visualization and the various data visualization tools. He introduced the concept that Data Visualization is a process of graphically representing the data to unveil the information. He used illustrations used to show the importance of visualization. He explained the different techniques such as tables and charts, plots, maps, diagrams and matrices. He explained all the methods using relevant examples and plots. He further explained the multiple types of charts, such as bar charts, histograms, multiple panel charts etc, for categorical variables and how to infer using or pass gained knowledge to the client from the charts/graph.


He talked about the most popular map visualizations, such as heat maps, dot distribution, cartograms, Dendrograms, and Scatter plot matrix. He then further explained data visualization tools such as Shiny R, Tableau, PowerBi, Qlik Sense, and Microsoft Excel, thus bringing it to the session's end.

    Students of Anna University can log in to the official website which provides all the relevant details of the students, so check Anna University Student login portal. coe1.annauniv.edul website controls the examination process and maintains student details.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
