Bhasha Utsav- 2022- Christ University Pune- Lavasa Campus’ very own Ethnic Day. An event that gets to see the biggest of audience.

Christ being a home to many students across the globe, it is on this exuberant day every year that the University gets to see students across all streams, batches and classes representing their ethnicity through their attire. Bhasha Utsav is a way of encouraging its students to take pride in their respective cultural roots.

Quoted by Fr Dr Jossy P George, “One of the most striking features of our University is the fact that we have students coming from all 29 states of India, and even outside of it.”

With various cultural performances by the Universities very own dance and music teams, Ethnic day is celebrated with much colour and joy.


Starting with Kalaarpana (University’s dance team) performing Kashmir’s traditional folk dance, followed by Garba, a joyful folk-dance performance performed on almost every special occasion in Gujarat. Next up was Kuthu, a folk dance and music genre with an emphasis on percussion performed in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Followed by energetic performances of Bengali folk dance as sweet as its Rasagullas and to add further liveliness in the mob, Punjab’s most popular folk dance, Bhangra was performed.

Coming from two completely opposite directions of the country, the SWO brought together three zestful bands; Chendmelum by Ponnan Blues Magic all the way from Kerala, Punjabi dhol by Krishna entertainment, as well their very own Puneri dhol.

To wrap up the event with a bang Christ University’s favourite DJ, DJ Rajan took over the stage to make the crowd groove to his beats once again.


Programme Outcome:

1: Brought all the students together taking pride in their cultural roots.

2: Imparted sense of team spirit and belongingness among the students.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
