International Day of Happiness
Ripples of Happiness was a heartfelt initiative undertaken by the Centre for Counselling & Health Services (CCHS) to spread appreciation, positivity, and gratitude across the CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa Campus. In an environment where multiple departments work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth functioning of daily academic and administrative life, this initiative sought to acknowledge and celebrate their invaluable contributions.
The activity was carried out as a collective effort by the CCHS team, who visited various centers and offices across the campus to personally express gratitude for the services they provide. Often, the ease with which students and faculty navigate their academic journey is made possible by the consistent support and efficiency of these departments. Ripples of Happiness was thus envisioned as a small yet meaningful way to give back, recognizing that the institution's seamless functioning is a shared accomplishment.
As part of the initiative, the team visited several key departments, including the Centre for Digital Learning (CDL), Admissions Office, Examination Office, Accounts Office, IT Team, CPCG Office, Director’s Office, Office of International Affairs (OIA), Facilitator Team, Student Support Office, and the CAPS Office. At each location, members of the CCHS team interacted with staff, expressed appreciation, and extended warm wishes, acknowledging the role their dedication plays in creating a supportive and efficient campus environment.
The interactions were simple yet impactful, centered around gratitude, encouragement, and the message “because of you, everything works.” These moments served as reminders that every role, whether visible or behind the scenes, plays a crucial part in shaping the student experience. The initiative emphasized that genuine appreciation can foster a stronger sense of belonging, motivation, and positivity in the workplace.
Ripples of Happiness also aligned with the broader vision of promoting emotional well-being and a culture of kindness on campus. By encouraging expressions of gratitude and human connection, the initiative moved beyond conventional wellness activities and highlighted the importance of acknowledging everyday contributions.Ripples of Happiness by the Centre for Counselling & Health Services (CCHS) was a thoughtful initiative that celebrated the spirit of gratitude and collective effort within the university.
