Carnival Chronicles

The Freshers Party, hosted by the final-year Data Science students, was an exciting and informal event designed to welcome first-year students into the university community. This event provided a relaxed atmosphere for new students to meet their peers, socialize, and celebrate the start of their academic journey.

Objective:

1. Welcoming New Students: To create a friendly and inclusive environment for first-year students.
2. Encouraging Social Interaction: To help new students build connections and feel part of the university community.
3. Celebrating the Start of the Academic Year: To mark the beginning of the academic year with a fun and engaging event.

MSc Data science & MScEA Christ University Lavasa Campus Second Year students organized Fresher’s party for MSc Data Science Christ University in the City Campus Pune auditorium at 11:30 AM.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Director, Principal, PG Academic Coordinator and all faculty members. The program started with the speech by Fr. Lijo Thomas Director & Dean Christ University Lavasa followed by Fr. Arun Antony Chully Principal Christ College Pune and HoD Data Science Dr. Lija Jacob.

There was a violin piece played by one of the seniors, group dance, song and Mr & Ms Fresher’s competition for Juniors arranged by the seniors. Talking about the ramp walk, it was conducted in two rounds. In the Round 1- the participants walked on the ramp and gave poses towards the audiences. Later in the Round 2- the shortlisted participants walked again on the ramp and they were asked to stand in the line followed by the questioning session based on which the Mr. and Ms. Fresher’s were finalized.

Fresher’s also performed a group dance. Pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot-tapping music, set the mood of the party right. The excitement augmented to a joyful high as performances graced the stage. At the end, the dance floor was left open for some unbridled energy. Joy and happiness could be seen among students and faculty members.

The program ended with delicious lunch arranged by MSc Data Science Students (Seniors)

The Freshers Party organized by the final-year Data Science students was a successful event, achieving its goals of welcoming new students and fostering a sense of community. The lively atmosphere, engaging activities, and ample opportunities for social interaction made it a memorable start to the academic year for first-year students.
