Imperio’22 was an intra-collegiate business and management fest conducted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The event was attended by the entire BBA business analytics department. It primarily involved the first and second-year students who competed for the title of the undefeated 8-Bit Gamer with a spirit of healthy camaraderie in this intellectually stimulating fest. The participants’ administrative skills were tested in a variety of intriguing activities and tasks centred on the event's theme, 8-Bit Games. This gave them the impression that a nostalgic memory can become a real-life situation. There were instances when the event required participants to provide remarkable answers that met the criteria for solving real-world challenges. A wall was painted by the students of CHRIST Lavasa on campus over five days. “I wrote the proposal at midnight, thinking that reviewing and revisions would take time...”, said one of the organisers of the Wall Art activity. A Sales Marathon competition was organized by the finance club of the MBA department on 20th May 2022 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The competition was titled “Pecunsell - Customer Acquisition Competition”.  The event was intended to test the students’ finance & marketing knowledge clubbed with business acumen and certain soft skills to meet their sales target of financial products. Considering the event, it was expected that the competition would help the students in developing a deep understanding of financial products and the concepts of how those products are presented in the market. The expo visit activity was organized by students of the MBA marketing Department under the guidance of Prof Stanny Dias. The total number of students who attended the expo visit was 21. The marketing students from MBA visited the Globe-Tech engineering fair in Pimpri-Chinchwad which is annually held from May 20th to 22nd. There were 21 students from the specialization along with the faculty coordinator Prof. Stanny Dias. On 20th May, students left Lavasa at 12:30 PM and reached the engineering expo at 2:30 PM. From 3 PM to 4:45 PM, the students interacted with exhibitors from different companies and tried to understand the different aspects of B2B workflow. On the 17th of May 2022, the students of fourth semester BSc (Data Science), CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus travelled to Pune for an industrial visit to Xoriant Solutions Pvt Ltd Xoriant was founded in the 1990s by an IIT Bombay graduate, Mr Girish Gaitonde. Mr Akash, Mr Sudeep, Mr Dhawal, and Mr Sameer were all kind enough to walk us through the way of life in Xoriant. Mr Akash welcomed the group of 32 students along with two professors, Mr Libin Chacko Samuel and Dr Lija Jacob, and the Placement Officer Mrs Irudaya to their facility. This event was the first in the series of monthly departmental events to be held on 19th May 2022 in the Central block at CHRIST  (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. It is a platform for MBA students to learn and refine their skills like teamwork and leadership. The event started with melodious band performances. It was followed by a literary sub-event. The 5K marathon was organized by the Department of Data Science in ode to celebrate Earth Day on 14th May 2022 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, under the guidance of Dr Ravikiran Naik as Assistant Professor in Economics in the Department of Data Science.  The event began with an address and ribbon cutting by Dr Fr Jossy P George, Dean & Director of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The address was brief and galvanizing for the runners assembled. The event marked the anniversary of the birth of the Modern Environment in 1970. Mélange is a unique multi-disciplinary, inter-institutional festival which included a multitude of management, cultural, literary & theatre and e gaming events - held from 4th May 2022 to 9th May 2022. The fest consisted of events ranging from business and management to cultural events to literary & theatre to gaming & e-sports events. National Cadet Corps of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus is registered under 36 Maharashtra Battalion and consists of an Army Wing. The main focus of NCC is on instilling discipline in the cadets, besides fostering healthy competition for the ranks, while keeping the greater interest of the nation in mind to create prospective officers for the Armed Forces. The National Cadet Corps is the only organization of its kind, which imparts Leadership, Discipline, Integration, Adventure, Military, Physical, and Community Development training to over 15 lakh youth in the country. SELECTIONS: The first batch of NCC cadets was enlisted in 2021, with 33 cadets (21 SDs and 12 SWs). Interview, physical test, and written examination were the three steps of the selection process.
