The School of Business and Management (BBA) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), in formal collaboration with the Centre for Research, successfully organized and conducted a three-day Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) titled "Inquire, Ink & Impact: QIP on Scholarly Research Paper Writing" from August 06 to August 08, 2026, in the Smart Room of the Management Block. Designed specifically for teaching faculty and academic staff, this institutional quality enhancement initiative aligned directly with Sustainable Development Goal 04: Quality Education by reinforcing continuous academic leadership and elevating high-impact institutional research output. Facilitated by faculty in-charges and resource persons Dr. Shine Raju Kappil, Dr. Saran Murali, and Dr. Shakeeb Mohammad Mir, the bootcamp directly addressed critical technical and structural skill gaps among management educators in converting scholarly inquiry into publication-ready manuscripts that satisfy the stringent criteria of top-tier indexed publication platforms.

The fundamental motivation behind this program stemmed from common hurdles observed among faculty, including imprecise problem framing, unstructured literature synthesis, and limited familiarity with advanced review methodologies such as Systematic Literature Review (SLR) protocols and quantitative bibliometric mapping. To overcome these challenges, the IQAC-aligned program established four core objectives. These focused on identifying structural formatting norms of indexed journals through manuscript analysis, demonstrating systematic literature mapping through guided software exercises, critiquing sample manuscripts for argumentative flow via peer-review simulations, and executing targeted journal selection strategies using publisher guideline evaluations to safeguard scholars against predatory outlets. Mastering these methodological techniques empowers academic staff to objectively map dynamic research landscapes, pinpoint critical knowledge gaps, and formulate robust theoretical frameworks that directly elevate citation metrics.

Across the intensive three-day agenda, the curriculum seamlessly integrated theoretical foundations with practical software execution. The initial phase guided participants through scanning contemporary literature, evaluating journal calls for papers, establishing clear methodological distinctions between qualitative traditional reviews, PRISMA-guided SLRs, and quantitative bibliometric science mapping, and mastering advanced Scopus search queries utilizing Boolean operators, field tags, and domain filters to extract CSV and BibTeX metadata. The second phase focused on bibliometric performance metrics and science mapping dimensions, including co-citation, bibliographic coupling, and co-authorship network dynamics. Faculty conducted practical routines in R-based Biblioshiny to perform data deduplication and thematic evolution mapping, followed by VOSviewer sessions to adjust node density and cluster normalization thresholds for generating high-resolution network visual maps. The final phase covered manuscript architecture, detailing methods to convert bibliometric visualizations into structured academic narratives for Scopus and ABDC-indexed outlets while using structured frameworks to formulate testable research propositions for future empirical study.
