HERACLES OF LAVASA 2.0: BIGGER, BRAVER, BOLDER

Lavasa, February 9th, 2025 – The city of Lavasa witnessed an unforgettable celebration of fitness, unity, and inclusivity as it hosted the much-anticipated HERACLES OF LAVASA 2.0 Marathon, themed BIGGER, BRAVER, BOLDER. With over 300 participants and 50 volunteers from diverse backgrounds, the event fostered a vibrant atmosphere that showcased the true spirit of community, healthy living, and social responsibility. Campus Connect with Govt VYT PG Autonomous College, Durg, Chhattisgarh

The first day of the visit focused on the arrival and settling in of the 15 students and 2 faculty members from GOVT VYT PG Autonomous College. The group arrived at Pune Railway Station at 12:00 hrs and were transported to the Christ University, Lavasa campus. After arriving at 15:00 hrs, they were allocated their rooms. In the evening at 18:00 hrs, a meeting was held, which included a campus tour to familiarize the visiting group with the facilities and surroundings. The day concluded with dinner at 20:00 hrs. Day 2: February 13, 2025 Day 2 was dedicated to an industrial visit to Mahabaleshwar. The students and faculty departed at 05:00 hrs and returned to the campus by 22:00 hrs. This provided the visiting students with an opportunity to observe real-world applications of economic principles and gain exposure to industry practices. The session was led by Ms. Sheba Solomon, a seasoned counselor and expert in mental health and gender issues. Designed as a two-phase initiative, the programme combined experiential learning with digital education, providing participants with a well-rounded developmental experience. DEPARTMENT OF DATA SCIENCE : OUTBOUND TRAINING

Day 1: Time: 5 AM to 10 PM  The preparation for the OBT was done by Mr.Avichal who posted the details of the same on the whatsapp group on the previous day regarding the departure from Lavasa, and details regarding the timings and the time of arrival. The journey began from the campus at 5:00 AM, and everybody boarded the bus on the way. The rest of the participants joined on the way from Pirangut. The bus stopped at a restaurant around 8:30 AM for breakfast and resumed our travel around 10 AM. To bring in interaction Dr.Jibrael Jos and Ms.Nishitha conducted activities, out of which the first activity was to switch seats and sit with somebody different from originally who they were sitting with when boarded the bus. Additionally, each participant received a chit with two names where we had to support one person and build a good friendship with the other for 24hrs, which was to be kept as a secret.
